Kate's Care offers high quality early childhood education in a comfortable home environment. With over 20 years experience as an early childhood teacher and child care center director, I plan activities weekly based on the needs and interests of the children in my care. Your child will experience language/literacy, cognitive, social/emotional, science, sensory, motor skills, imaginative play, art activities and more every week. Breakfast, Lunch and Afternoon snack are provided unless a family would prefer to pack. Families receive written documentation daily of all activities and personal care routines for their child. Relationships are built with open, honest communication between myself and the families I serve.I log progress and create plans and goals for the upcoming months. The daily schedule is consistent, yet flexible, which is how children learn best. If you are looking for a setting that has the educational component of preschool with the personal care of an in-home provider, you've found it!

Kate is the most amazing childcare provider. She has years of experience working with children and it shows everyday. She has a dedicated room for her childcare with designated areas of play: art, blocks, sensory, dramatic play etc. She is warm and inviting. She truly cares about each of the children in her care and has truly made an impact on my daughter in her learning , manners, and social/emotional skills. Kate plans her day and keeps a consistent schedule of events. She also provides daily notes for the kiddos in her care. I trust Kate's judgement and advice. I could not have made a better choice for my daughter's caregiver provider from the time she was 3 months old until Kindergarten!

Kate is the ideal person we were looking for when trying to find a sitter for our son. He had a very serious surgery that required a bit of extra care, and she has been AMAZING! She took the time to come up with a game plan as to what his normal day would be, the activities they would do, eating and sleeping schedules, etc. She isn't your normal sitter. She thrives on education, which is a HUGE plus, especially with our son's talking. There has been a huge improvement since he has entered her care! Her home is very warm and inviting, as well as clean and clutter free (as mush as possible because she also has 2 children of her own). I would not hesitate to recommend Kate to anyone who is looking for a loving, caring, interactive, and very knowledgeable sitter for their child. Our son is 2 y/o, and he gets so excited when we tell him where he is going. I really can't thank her enough for everything she has done for our son and his development.
