Welcome to Home Away From Home Day Care. It is our goal to promote children's happy, healthy, growth and development while in my care. At Home Away From Home, each child is given careful attention and affectionate care, in a calm home environment and are treated with RESPECT and LOVE. Your child's comforts and needs are always our priority. The care is personal and individualized to suit children of all ages and abilities. Your questions, comments and input are always important so we can work together to achieve the very best experiences for your child. Your Little one is our utmost priority.
We are centrally located in Killingworth, very close to the traffic circle. This allows for easy access to Route 9 and Interstate 95 .
A little about me, Diane..
I have lived in Killingworth all my life except for a short time where I lived in Guilford CT. I graduated from Haddam-Killingworth High School. After graduation I went to work for The Clinipad Corporation in Guilford CT. Where in my 16 years of employment with them I held many positions in Production, Quality Assurance and ending up with 8 years in Upper Management. When the corporation relocated to Charlotte N.C. I decided to pursue my aspiration to care for children. I opened my home to children as a licensed day care provider in March of 1998. In 1999 I earned a Diploma in Child Day Care Management. I also maintain certification in C.P.R., Medication Administration and First Aid. In addition to the above, I belong to our regional child day care association, and attend continuous classes and trainings to better the quality of care in my home. I am also a Justice of the Peace. In 2005 I earned National Certification in EKG and Phlebotomy. My mother Eleanor Sanderson ( AKA - Grandma ) also lives with us and she is a State approved day care Assistant / Substitute.
