I have been a licensed in-home family home daycare provider for over 27 years, and I love what I do! It is a privilege to be able to help your young children grow into good friends and kind people. We have a lot of fun learning and exploring and spend as much time as we are able outside.
The preschool program uses a flexible curriculum incorporating Teaching Strategies Kickstart Literacy, Finch, Second Step and Preschool Vibes. We also play plenty of learning games that incorporate math, science, art, dramatic play, language and social/emotional skills. Learning through play is meaningful to children and important at this age. I strive for structure and predictability but am also flexible in following the needs and ideas of the children. If there is a unexpected sunny or snowy around here, we are going to take full advantage! If your child has an inquiry into learning about something, you bet we are going to explore that.
I have my state ECE certificate and have spent 4 years as an assistant ECEAP teacher in the Snohomish School District.
This program also serves school age children for Riverview Elementary in Snohomish. Transportation to and from the bus stop in provided in my 12-passenger van.
We have a really great group of kids here and would love to add you to your little one to out daycare family!
All meals are provided while in care as a part of the USDA food program.
