About the business
As a family childcare provider for 31 years, my goal is to provide a safe and happy environment for each child that will stimulate their physical, intellectual, social and emotional growth at their own pace. I offer loving care that focuses on each child as a unique and wonderful individual which builds self-esteem and respect for others. As a partner in caring for your child, my interaction with you is as important as my interaction with your child.
We care about each child individually, striving not to compare, but to appreciate the precious rhythm of each ones growth. We do not in any way attempt to replace the priority of the home and its environment, but rather seek to supplement and enrich your childs experience. We feel that each child needs to develop intellectually, socially, and physically, therefore your child will be exposed to many songs, stories, poems, games, large and small muscle equipment and a variety of other activities.
Infants are provided with a safe environment in which to explore a variety of age-appropriate materials, consistent responses, environments, and routines. While supporting their temperament, learning style, and interests. Helping them form secure relationship with the provider.
Children will have access to various age-appropriate activities throughout the day. Some of the activities your child will participate in are: assorted building blocks and other construction materials; imaginary play, picture books, paints and other art materials, table toys such as matching games, pegboards and puzzles. The children will be introduced to numbers and the alphabet in the context of their everyday experiences in addition to learning how to hold a pencil or crayon.
Learning observation skills during our walks and outside play. Additional activities like cooking and serving snack will provide a basis for physics and math. We strive to learn self regulation along with sharing, taking turns, listening to and following directions and cooperating within a group setting. While helping your toddler focus on becoming more independent as he or she grows. Basic skills such as potty training, dressing, and communicating using their words. The children are exposed to basic concepts like shapes, letters, colors, early sight words, animal identification and counting along with number recognition, feeling words and more. Pre-school age children will work with more advanced math, language, and science concepts, as well as paying attention.
