Hi! My name is Akiko and I am a professional and experienced and certified in first aid and CPR. I am looking for the right family to partner with in caring for their little one. I am also open to a nanny share. I provide families with a contract as a way to protect both myself and the family. I pride myself as being communicative and transparent with families. I have my bachelors degree in Philosophy, but have loved being a mother and have poured my life into it. I have a son and two daughters. My son is 11 years old and my daughters are 9 and 5. I am not just a babysitter, I use every opportunity for educating and developing milestones through a structured day of interactive play, reading, singing songs, and going on walks to the park or to the library for story time. I am very comfortable with newborns and have many "tricks" up my sleeves to help nurture babies. I am also comfortable with growing toddlers. Potty training, teaching shapes, colors, and letters, as well as outdoor time is part of our daily routine. Nap/rest time is always at the same time and the kids really benefit from having consistency in our day and the routine I establish helps to make the day smooth. Although there is a routine to each day, I do love taking the kids on little field trips to the playground, library, and sometimes even more adventurous places like the butterfly pavilion or the children's museum, etc. I am a strong Christian and my love for Jesus influences every area of my life including my professions. I love to teach kids about the love of Christ through prayer, reading, and singing songs. I have over 10 years' experience and can provide references for recent families I have provided care for.
