A Place for Kids provides a preschool-based readiness environment. We spend time each day building skills as we work on developmentally appropriate activities. Our curriculum is designed to boost school readiness by encompassing all areas of your child's development. This includes creative arts, alphabet and language activities, music and movement, hands-on-math and science, social activities, and games. Our guided curriculum is built around eight developmental domains; Social/Emotional, Language/Literacy, Creative Expression, Social Studies, Physical Development/Health, Science, Math, and Approaches to Learning.
Each month, your child will participate in activities that relate to two educational themes. He or she will be introduced to three letters, one color, two or three numbers, and one shape through a variety of hands-on activities. We will spend time singing, reading stories and role playing. Monthly, we will incorporate a few Spanish words as well.
At the same time, we work on developing the social skills as they play with others. We discuss such things as sharing and good manners and our feelings.
As free play is very important to growth and development, children have ample opportunity for free play and to use their imagination. We work on building physical fitness as we play both indoors and outdoors.
Stimulating creativity, and helping to build a positive self-image, our activities promote emotional, cognitive, social and physical development. Children learn by doing, and need ample opportunity to explore and grow. Preschool activities set the stage for a life-long love of learning that builds self-esteem and enthusiasm!
I provide a nurturing, safe, structured, flexible environment for children to learn and grow. I am located in Rogers, with an entire level of our home dedicated to care. Children will enjoy a spacious lovely setting, both indoors and outdoors. We have a separate dedicated cafeteria and a safe, outdoor fenced play yard!
Our summer fun activities include: Backyard Olympics Day, Bouncy House Day, Squirt it Up Day, Costume Day... :)

I highly recommend you explore A Place for Kids as a childcare/pre-school option. Children have safe learning and play environments, both indoor and outdoor. Susan is very engaging with all children and families.
She incorporates positive social and emotional skill building, as well as pre-school curriculum. My daughter loves the daily projects and activities. Susan makes learning fun. The details she puts forth in providing care can't go unnoticed. We love that she offers healthy meals and snacks and teaches children about making healthy food choices. We are thankful for Susan and her wonderful care.

Our 4 year old son has been attending 'A Place for Kids' for one year now and he absolutely loves it! He has made new friends and absolutely adores Susan. Susan cares for each child as if he/she were her own. She has a very structured program to keep the children engaged and entertained all day. Every day, our son comes home with something new that he learned that day and his vocabulary and breadth of knowledge has improved since joining. He also looks forward to the different activities that Susan plans every month (pajama day, stuffed animal day, bouncy house, backyard olympics, and etc.). Overall, we are so happy with Susan and would recommend her care to any family.

Susan provides a wonderful caring and safe environment for kids with an emphasis on learning. She has a gift to engage children whether she's vividly reading them a book, playing a fun game or exploring her flower gardens with them. Our 3 year old daughter has been in Susan's care for 9 months and we've noticed significant improvements in many areas; including coloring, matching, writing, following directions, and more. She looks forward to going to Susan's each morning - especially when it's 'share day' Friday or a fun day like 'Wacky Wear' day! Susan's preschool is set-up so thoughtfully and is very well suited for toddlers. Susan also send pictures of my daughter occasionally; it's always fun to see what she's building or playing with throughout the day when I'm at work. I highly recommend "A Place For Kids" - you won't be disappointed!

We started looking for a new daycare when our son was 3 years old. My husband and I both have full time careers and we were trying to find an in home daycare that was also a preschool. We found the perfect place at A Place For Kids.
After our first meeting with Susan, my 7 year old daughter looked at me and said 'Mom, you have to bring DJ here.' And I agreed. Susan provides a loving, fun and educational experience to only preschool aged children.
Susan provides a very structured schedule that is the perfect mix of learning and fun.
As a parent-you will appreciate her monthly newsletters, weekly menu and her much appreciated advance notice about time off.

There is no doubt in our mind that A Place for Kids is the best daycare choice for our son. We were immediately impressed with the space; it's immaculate, organized and a great place for learning and having fun. After learning about the curriculum/structure and activities we knew without a doubt there was no better place to bring our son.
In the almost 8 months we've been coming to A Place for Kids our now 3-year-old son has learned so much! He comes home every day with something new, whether it be counting higher, knowing more and more letters, new words, singing songs, and everything else in between. Our son could not be more cared for in a day than if we were doing it ourselves. Susan shows so much care and love for each and every child and you can see the love they have back for her. Susan's communication style and notice of time off, etc. is more than we could ask for. Finding A Place for Kids and Susan has been a blessing, she sets the bar high.

Susan had me at "Hello"! Our daughter (5) has only been with Susan since February, but they already have a strong bond and we've seen a tremendous improvement in her learning. From the beginning, Susan was very warm and welcoming, which made the transition from another daycare very smooth for all of us. Her home is immaculate, she puts a lot of attention in the details and I love her demeanor in her interaction with the kids. I'm so thankful we found her!

Choosing a daycare provider for your babies is a hard thing to do but when my husband and I walked into Susan's for the first time we instantly felt comfortable with her. She wanted to hold our son right away, which in my eyes is the first sign of a great provider! I have two very busy boys that adore Susan and all the friends they've made at a place for kids, and Susan loves all the kids just as much as they love her! A place for kids is extremely clean, organized and well structured! My oldest is 3 years old and he has learned about every song under the sun. Almost everyday he recognizes things that I know he must have learned about at Susan's! The set up that Susan has is perfect for learning and play! Susan also does fun monthly activities, as well as show and tell every Friday, which is my boy's favorite.

Our daughter absolutely loves A Place for Kids. We were nervous moving her from a center to an in-home setting, but the minute we walked in there was not doubt this was a great place. Susan cares for all of the children like they are her own which can be easily seen by the love the children return. Susan provides a clean, organized and structured day that provides balanced time for learning and fun. There is no doubt that our daughter will be more than ready for kindergarten next year both educationally and socially. We couldn't ask for a better place or person to take care of our daughter.

Our children started going to Susan's preschool at ages 5 and 2 years old. With Susan's knowledge and care our son entered Kindergarten far advanced in writing, speaking sentences, knowing his colors, shapes etc. Our daughter is now 3.5 and she is writing her name, knows her colors, shapes, size differences. Everyday she learns something new and has art or worksheets to show us. We highly recommend Susan as a preschool educator and daycare provider. She has become a part of our family forever.

We were looking for the perfect place to send our two preschool-aged children. We wanted an environment that partnered learning with creativity while still letting them be kids! The stars all aligned when we found A Place for Kids. We were thrilled when our girls were accepted. From circle time to music and dance, art projects and lessons to prepare them for school, their days are filled with activities and opportunities to learn and explore.
As working parents, we also needed to trust our children were safe and we had someone we could rely on. A Place for Kids is clean, organized and safety is a top priority. Susan is very thoughtful in planning her days off and always gives us advanced notice - I never have to worry about her closing early or starting late.
A Place for Kids is the perfect combination of the structure and predictability of a center and the love and nurturing of in-home care. The kids (including my own) all love Susan, in fact we cannot leave each evening without multiple hugs.

* Lessons are focused on all aspects of life going beyond letters, numbers, colors and shapes to healthy eating, exercise, emotions, treating others with respect, and more

* Age-appropriate games and toys - she also adapts projects so the oldest to youngest can all participate at their own level and move at their own pace
* Healthy, wholesome meals & snacks
* Monthly newsletter and calendar so we can reinforce key lessons at home

Our 4 year old daughter has been coming here since September. She absolutely loves it! Not only does she get great socialization with other children, but Susan offers so much more. She has daily lessons for her, including reading, writing, and even math. Our daughter can write her own name, spell it, sing the alphabet, color pictures in the lines, match things, and so much more. Every day our daughter has several pieces of paper she has worked on with Susan throughout the day and almost always includes some sort of arts and crafts project. She is a picky eater, but with Susan's help and amazing leadership, she is trying things even we can't believe. It makes our home life so much easier when she receives so much education and loving care during her day. We highly recommend Susan to anyone who is seeking a fantastic daycare for their child. We couldn't ask for a better provider to our daughter. She learns so many new things and always has a busy day. If you are lucky enough to read this review, you'd be crazy not to contact Susan. She really is wonderful. More than a parent could ask for.

My two boys, ages 8 and 9, have been coming here since November and they love it! This is my first experience with an in home day care situation, as we opted for a center environment when my children were younger and then transitioned to the before and after school program. Susan is such a loving and caring person, she's like a second Mom to them - I just wish I would have found her sooner! She always has fun activities planned for them and joins right in, whether it's playing Twister or dodgeball. Her daycare area is bright and sunny, with lots of natural sunlight and space for the children to play. She has a great curriculum planned each day to ensure they are learning, yet still having fun. She has a nice variety of good, nutritional food for them each day, that is freshly prepared. Susan is well organized and easy to work with and I have no concerns on the safety and well-being of my children during the day. I would highly recommend Susan to anyone who is needing day care for their children.
