Hi all: We're looking for an Au Pair to live with us in Sydney for a period of 3-6 months with the possibility of extending. We have 2 daughters (18mo and 3yo). 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. Our Au pair would have her own room and walk in wardrobe. They would largely have their own bathroom room, though our 3yo daughter may use it for teeth / occasional toilet. My wife and I rarely, if ever use it. Queen bed and we plan on moving a TV into the room too. Approximately 30-35 hours per week. The main times for us are 3pm – 7pm each weekday. We’re happy to be flexible outside of those hours. At times we will require some evening babysitting (the girls will be asleep). This can sometimes be one or two times per - usually either on a Friday or Saturday night. We will ensure enough notice is given when weekend help is required. The main objective of the au pair is look after our kids when we cannot and where possible, to help keep the house tidy and clean. We like to run a very tidy house though we’re also realistic as we have 2 young girls. A typical week could look like this: Monday: 5 hrs work 2pm - 7pm (1 hour of housework and 4 hours helping with kids) Tuesday: 5 hours work 2pm - 7pm (1 hour of housework and 4 hours helping with kids) Wednesday: 4 hours work 3pm - 7pm (helping with the kids) Thursday: 3 hours work 4pm - 7pm (1 hour housework and 3 hours helping with the kids) Friday: 3 hours work 4pm - 7pm (1 hour housework and 3 hours helping with the kids)

They currently attend daycare a couple of days per week each * someone tidy who can help with keeping the house organized, folding kids laundry, light food preparation, and general house tidy of toys etc * You will have Wednesdays off during the day (subject to family holiday periods) * Most weekends will be free time for yourself, However, we will require a few weekend hours but notice will be provided if you wish to travel.
