I started my support care work in a residential school, for children and young adults with autism and additional support needs. I have 12 years employment with the same service provider. I was working in supported living for young people and adults age 5 to 65. They are very challenging, but very rewarding when supporting to reach their goals and achievement, Playing a part to promote and support, to encourage and enable each child/adults self esteem, in leading a life of positive development and providing emotional and social support. All of us deserve to be safe and feel safe no matter of ability or disability, Knowing I can help in any way is very rewarding, we all have to earn a living, but enjoying doing it is a plus, and making someone's life better is a great achievement for me.

| I am a caring, fun, bubbly woman that loves working with kids, I have been in care work for several years but recently want to start working with the younger generation

| I have several years experience as a support worker with clients ranging from teenagers to elderly. I have experience of clients with autism, challenging behaviour, mental health issues, learning difficulties, mobility and sight issues, brain injuries and dementia. I am starting my own business as a private carer within the Taunton area. My vision is to deliver client led care focusing on supporting their independence wherever possible and likewise for those dependent on carers, to provide the highest quality care treating them with the respect and dignity they deserve.

| Hi ! I'm Emily, I am currently working as a specialist support worker for a young adult with Autism. Before this I was working as a support worker for Adults with Autism and learning disabilities. I have a BTEC Level 3 in Health and Social care. I am a bubbly,confident and responsible 21 year old that always strives to give the best possible care.

| I have worked in nursery and mainstream school settings with children, as well as babysitting/mothers help at home work. I have worked children with additional needs for over 5 years and really enjoy it. I am therefore now also completing a degree in Education, Psychology and SEND. I have a Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's workforce and am DBS checked. I have primarily worked with children between 2 and 14 years of age. I have also worked with children with Cerebral Palsy, ADHD or ASD with the understanding that no one child is the same and so would be keen to get to know your child and support their individual needs. | After finishing my Psychology degree I worked with pre school autistic children as a play therapy assistant in London. I relocated to Taunton and I have been working as a mental health support worker in Exeter. I am currently studying to become a counsellor. I enjoy providing practical and emotional support as a support worker, setting goals with clients and help them achieve. I especially enjoy building their confidence and become more independent.

Hi, I'm Livi I'm 22, and currently studying at the university of Marjon, Plymouth. I would describe myself to be an energetic, trustworthy and reliable carer. I have always pursued a career in childcare and aim to be in special needs education. I have worked in a secondary school for the past three years working with special educational needs kids, this gave me key skills e. G. Manual handling course, knowledge of specialised equipment and safeguarding children. My job role ranged from differentiation in lessons, providing pastoral care and communicating with parents. Working with disabled children has given me a range of strategies and techniques to deal with difficult and challenging behaviour despite this I find this career extremely rewarding and the benefits I feel I gain from this job are invaluable and give me such personal benefits. Working in this environment suits my patient and caring nature I found this experience extremely beneficial when I was a carer for a severely disabled boy in the summer of 2015 which involved feeding, personal hygiene care, bedtime/morning routines and transportation I felt I fitted into their family well and broadened my knowledge even further.
