Special Needs Care in Cullompton

| I started off doing domicilally care since 2013 working with the Eldery- washing and dressing, food preparation, medication prompting. I worked for a care agency going to different residential homes- mental Health, Dementia, varied Disabilities. I have also done end of life care- cancer and non cancer patients.

| I have worked in a residential home for 6 years, working with deaf young people with challenging behaviour aged between 12-25year olds. My current role is working with registered deaf/blind children with other complex needs on a 1:1 basis in primary schools. I have been doing this role for almost 5 years. I have experience working with nursery children, young people and young adults. I have NVQ 3 Health and social care, level 3 British Sign Language and I’m competent using sighted guide due to working with a blind young man for the last 5 years. I have experience administering medication and I am first aid trained with St John Ambulance.

| Hi I'm a mature lady . I'm married with 4 children aged 16, 14,11 and 6 . I also have 2 children I have fostered from the age of 3 and 5 they are both now 22 and 20 . I work in a school and have done for 6.5 years I work with children who have additional needs. I've completed an autism awareness course and achieved a distinction ; I'm the lead coordinator for autism in my school . This year I've also achieved an NVQ3 in young people learning .I have paediatric first aid . I'm able to drive a 14 seater minibus . Before working in a school I was a carer in nursing homes /young adults who have additional needs also a M.s hotel . I'm a very happy go lucky person and I put my all in any job. Im a people person and enjoy watching special achievements I have been able to be apart of . I'm reliable also pretty flexible.
