Special Needs Care in Coatbridge

| I am 25 years old and currently working with Cornerstone Community Care, I have been in their employment for 2 years. I work relief, which has given me experience with a range of complex needs. I have all the relevant training to work in this field and provide the best support possible. This training includes first aid, epilepsy along with moving and assisting. I am SSSC registered and have my PVG. I love animals and have no issues with them being around. I do not smoke.

| Hi! My name is summer and I’m 20 years old. For the past 3 years i have been working in drumpark ASN Primary school. I am a fun, outgoing, caring person and take life in my stride. I love working with children. In my current job I assist children in learning, playing, eating, toileting, changing and outdoor learning. I am also self taught in makaton. I love seeing people happy and making them smile. I always try my best to ensure each child is able to live life to the fullest.

| I began volunteering at a local drama group for children with additional support needs called shining stars when I was only 12 years old. Through working there, I have assisted in the development of many children and helped them over come obstacles which were once thought to be limits, for example- non verbal children saying their first words. I have worked with children with a variety of disabilities ranging from autism and ADHD to down syndrome and development delays. My long term experience has lead to many opportunities such as learning Makaton (a form of sign language) to being first aid trained. I have also had a disclosure this year and therefore my full background check is up to date. I have access to PEC cards to help with the development of children who are non verbal and cannot use sign language, or children who are on the spectrum. I have incredible patience, resilience, and dedication which are all qualities that would benefit any child, but especially one with additional support needs.
