| Having recently graduated from university and secured a graduate job with Dyson as a Design Engineer beginning in September, I am currently looking for an opportunity in which I can dedicate time to for the next 4 months. My experience with dogs is extensive. I regularly dog sit my friends’ dog and love to take him for walks. I also owned a dog which I named Snoopy, who was a miniature pinscher, which I house trained and taught to roll over and perform tricks. He remained in our family for 13 years until his passing. Although I would love to own another dog, at the minute this is not possible due to living with family at home, as we simply do not have the space, however I would love to be able to offer my services as a dog walker for those that do not have the time or are unable to do this. Although I have never professionally worked in this sector before, I do have the experience with dog handling and caring necessary to provide this service.

| I've been around pets most of my life. We have always had cats and sometimes dogs but I have often looked after my friend's dogs, which are of various sizes. As a child, I lived next to a stud farm and was always there with the horses and donkeys helping out. I've also owned many small pets in my younger years, such as tropical fish, hamsters, rats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and chickens etc. I basically get on easily with most animals and they generally tend to feel comfortable around me. I am also a Reiki master (healer) and went on to do a Reiki for animals course, which included doing sessions on animals at London Zoo at one point. I've also looked after other peoples homes whilst being a sitter, as I find I can give the pets more care and attention, so they don't miss their owners too much. When staying overnight the cost I charge includes usual pet tasks like feeding and dog walking. I am also a trained Graphic Designer, so I can work remotely easily. Having now given up my job at a college in London, I am looking to follow my passion in caring for animals. I'm in the process of setting up my own pet sitting/dog walking business. I have grown up with dogs including a Labrador, Cairn terrier and an Alsatian as well as cats. This included their basic care such as walks, feeding and of course cuddles! I have looked after friends and families pets (dogs, cats and fish) whilst they've been on holiday. I'm happy to do whatever is necessary in terms of walks, cleaning litter trays, watering plants and collecting post. I don't own a dog at present due to my previous working hours, but I have a very naughty cat and look to get a dog soon. Although I know the basic commands (sit, heel and stay) I am currently taking a Level 2 Dog Walking certificate to give me additional insight in to the way a dogs mind works. I absolutely adore animals and I love playing fetch as much as I love watching cats chase laser pens. My favourite thing is by far cuddles though! Me and my two young male cats were very lucky to find Mel, and be her first 'official' clients. Mel's passion for looking after, and being extremely welcoming and comfortable around new animals, was clear from the minute she arrived. It was my first trip away from them too, and she made sure she kept in touch with updates etc. She also took in her stride that both had had recent surgery, and also watered my large garden on her two visits a day. On my return she left a lovely message and was right, her visits had brought my little ones confidence out no end, and she even bought him his own laser pen. A lovely cat sitting relationship has hopefully begun and I feel very confident in using Mel again... And the kitties can't wait... The following units were some of the many included in the course; animal health, nutrition, welfare, and first aid. I have worked in a veterinary practice, at an animal sanctuary, and on a farm. I also have 7+ years experience dog walking, as well as having a dog of my own. I can provide overnight or day care in my home with my young Labrador and tabby cat. I hope to hear from you soon:)

Since I was six years I've owned both dogs and cats in many different breeds so I have a great understanding of different behaviour and understanding of dogs and cats. I currently have two dog's: Poppy, a jack Russell cross pug who is laid back and loves to cuddle, and Spike, a French bulldog who is energetic and but also enjoys a good cuddle. Your pets will receive plenty of love and care from me, as well as excellent care. I would really love to spend sometime with more animals and think my dogs will appreciate any new friends. I drive and live close my to Greenwich park and other parks. I'm currently home most of the time so I would be happy to accommodate your pets needs in which ever way needed. I can give medication or even simply check on them when you need me to. I'm also of course available for dog walks and home visits......
