| Since the early 90s, I have had various paid and voluntary roles involving animal welfare and pet care: • an interviewer, animal placements support and fundraiser for national and independent animal charities and, currently, I offer advice and support for the first six months to people adopting or fostering a pet from a local shelter • an unpaid foster carer, dog trainer, campaigner and committee member for an animal welfare society in Greece, where I lived for more than 10 years, also offering guided walks and tours to increase awareness of animal issues as well as raise funds • pet boarding in my own home, caring for up to 8 pets at a time, referred by local vets & animal charities from a few days to several weeks, sometimes for six months or more. I also trained, socialised, sterilised and organised quarantine to comply with EU transportation regulations in cases where strays were adopted out of Greece • pet/house sitting with responsibility for maintenance & security of the property, both in Greece & the UK – mainly in conjunction with sole charge of pets. I have more than 25 years’ experience and am fully insured.

| I love animals and have experience looking after dogs, pigs, chickens and ducks. I love walking dogs and can also feed and care for animals.

| I have recently relocated to Goudhurst and am missing my mother's and siblings beloved pets which I regularly cared for. I'd love to spend some more time with animals in the local area and have the chance to care for your pets!

| I was a member of Trusted House sitters for 3 years. I am a qualified nurse and also do nursing work. I am also DBS checked and have a copy of this certificate. I have reviews on the Trusted house sitters of all the pet sits I have completed and could use this as a form of reference. I would prefer houly rate of 10.00 to 12.00 per hour but willing to negotiate. I have passed courses on Trusted house sitter, I do have a medical background being a nurse.

| Experienced with all animals. Currently own myself: sheep, cows, dogs, cats, rabbits. Degree in animal behaviour and welfare. Canine nutrition and dog training diploma. Dog first aid trained too.

| I grew up in the company of different pets and became the go-to person for family, friends and colleagues for pet sitting work - this, and working for rescue shelters, has provided me with invaluable experience. I have cared for animals with health and behaviour issues which I feel confident to manage with a calm, compassionate and adaptable approach. My late cat required daily insulin injections for diabetes which thankfully went into remission a couple of years before he passed away, which the vet put down to attentive care and dedication to the treatment plan. Whilst volunteering with the Blue Cross (2013/14) and Mbwa wa Africa in Tanzania (2017), I was responsible for feeding, cleaning, grooming, playing, and exercising. In Tanzania I got to observe and even assist with neutering/spaying operations. I learned so much about animal behaviour and welfare during this time. In February 2018 I attended an informal day course in dog and cat first aid provided by my local veterinary practice. I am also registered with a pet sitting website called Trusted Housesitters which allows people like myself to travel and care for animals at the same time. I am on my 12th sit currently and have received 5 star reviews for my services.

| I have had pet dogs, cats, rats and gerbils throughout my life. Presently only have a cat with 3 legs & I miss a walking companion and dogs would be great to care for. Dogs of any size do not un-nerve me and I understand the trust needed for all parties. A pet is part of the family and they become loyal best friends. I have been in education all my life and if I can command a class of children, teenagers, or adult learners, I believe that I can handle dogs well. I would care for them in the way that the owner wishes but I cannot promise I will not fall in love with them. I am a responsible individual and at the age of 54 & left my education career, I am needing a new challenge that fills me with satisfaction. Dog walking, sitting and caring for your pet would be a privilege.
