An a very hardworking and task oriented person. I love cleanliness.
| I am a very hardworking person with lots of interpersonal skills. I am very dexterous and have great skills in household cleaning due to my many years of experience as a housekeeper. I always make sure I do my work meticulously. I am the eldest of my siblings and have always been the one doing most of the house chores. By so doing I gained lots of skills and knowledge about house hold keeping. I have also worked here in uk as a live in carer for a bed ridden client where in I did all of the house chores while caring for her too.
Sharon has provided care for me on a number of occasions and she has been brilliant. Very caring, patient and understanding. She is conscientious and frequently checks I am ok. I am paraplegic with multiple health problems. Sharon has helped me with transfers, moving about in my wheelchair, positioning in bed, checking for bed sores, transfers using a hoist and with medication. She is hard working and when I am not in need of personal support or care she does light housework without even being asked to do it. She is very conscientious about washing her hands and keeping areas clean as well as tidy. This is important to me because I am immunocompromised. She is very polite and kind and cheerful and good with animals! She has helped to take care of the 6 cats, lizard and axolotl in my house and nothing is ever too much trouble for her. I feel very lucky to have had Sharon's help as a carer and I have no hesitation in recommending her to others."

FAQs for finding a housekeeper

How much does it cost to hire a housekeeper in 2024?

Based on Care.com's data, the national average rate for a housekeeper is £12.93 per hour as of May 2024. The cost will vary based on your location and other factors, such as the size and condition of your home and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. In some cases, housekeepers will charge a flat rate per day, but you can discuss the details during the interview process and agree to a rate that works best for both parties.

In 2024 how can I best find a housekeeper?

You will have the option to search for housekeepers by narrowing down your candidate options based on their hourly rate, years of experience, distance from your location, availability and other factors. You can also post a job to receive applications from housekeepers listed on Care.com. After you have selected and screened some candidates, you can hire the housekeeper that best matches your needs.

How often should I have my house cleaned?

It's easier for your housekeeper to maintain the condition of your home with more frequent visits. With a weekly or bi-weekly visit, there will be less cleaning work per visit and it usually costs less.

What will a housekeeper do?

Each housekeeper does things a little different, but in general, a housekeeper will help you to keep your home clean and organised on a regular basis. It is a good idea to go over the detailed tasks you expect your cleaner to perform so you can both agree on what will and won't be done. Standard duties to discuss include cleaning the main areas of your house or flat, such as the kitchen, living room, bedrooms and bathrooms. Housekeepers may also clean the floors, mop, vacuum, remove dust from furniture, clean toilets, showers, mirrors and sinks in every bathroom, and change bed linens in every bedroom. They can also help organise your home by lightly decluttering, doing laundry and folding clothes.
