| I intend to provide companionship, light housework, help with shopping, meal preparation, medication prompt, accompany to appointments, inclusion in the community ie groups,clubs,hobbies. I also offer a sitting service to people caring for relatives and friends to enable them to have a break. I have experience with dementia clients. I believe in helping people to be as independent as possible, I am caring and compassionate, all my services are client led giving people choice and control over their lives.

As part of my years of nursing I spent several years caring for elderly people in the community. I found it rewarding and it was important to give my clients a chance to still maintain a level of independence but with a little assistance. It was also important to show a caring nature and simple things like having a chat as sometimes we would be the only people they would see in a day.

I enjoy the one to one care that community caring offers while also supporting the families of the patients I look after . I encourage my patients to remain as independent as possible if able but I will always support when needed . I live with my husband and have 4 boys all older now ! I have been in the care industry for around 15 years, specialising in dementia care, disabilities such as MS, muscular dystrophy & cerebral palsy. I offer a 'take a break service' to give family members & main carers a break during the day & I can also offer overnight care. I am confident & safe using hoists & other moving & handling aids. I provide person centred care, tailored to the individual needs & wishes. Recognised Dementia certificate, DBS checked, references & character references available. I am passionate that disadvantaged people should have every opportunity to fulfill their dreams and aspirations. As well as NVQ3 in Health and Social Care and Care Certificate I have also completed training in Dementia Awareness and safeguarding. Hobbies include football, rugby, motor racing, going for walks, watching films, antiques, fishing and volunteering at my church.
