My name is Tom, from Croatia and been living in London for 3 years now.
| I am well- mannered, polite, hardworking, excellent listener motivated and passionate about improving people's lives and making sure that every person under my supervision receives the highest level of care and attention. I am confident in working with children and elderly people or those with learning or physical disabilities and their families or carers. SKILLS -Housekeeping -Personal hygiene -dressing -Exercising for stroke -Medication -Meal planning and cooking -Patient -Friendly approach -Excellent communication skills -Positive approach -Caring nature -Trustworthy -Can work well under pressure -Good IT skills I have completed succesfully Health and Social Care Level 2 DIploma at Working Men College in Camden(WMC), London in June 2016 also I won a competition in writing a short story: How WMC changed your life? Since May 2016 I have been working happily with 2 young people of one who is a teenager and both suffer from severe cerebral palsy. I work with them in their homes, assisting with: personal hygiene changing nappies( pads) feeding tube feeding giving medication various activities such as playing ball, games, board, games, computer. As I am interested and have experience in stretching, physiotherapy and massage I also do it in their homes on my own or with assistance from other carers or parents. I also escort one of my clients to special yoga, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy and music therapy. We also walk a lot and go to coffee bar and generally spend a great deal of time outdoor whenever the weather allows us. I have a firm understanding of care and support after living and caring for a close family member for 10 years who'd had a heavy stroke. I have also lived with and cared for a family member who has colon cancer. Since March 2014, I had been volunteering as a Peer Navigator for LIFT, a charity that supports homeless and vulnerable adults. Currently I volunteer for Missionaries of Charity which is a shelter as well as the soup kitchen. I get on extremely well with children, teenagers and elderly and enjoying working with all of these groups. I want to keep these 2 jobs but because I work only (approximately) 25 hours a week I am looking to get some more particularly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, mornings and early afternoons. I am able to work occasionally on Saturdays too. I have fresh DBS and First Aid Certificate. Looking forward to hear from you Kind regards, Tom
