My experience is not like many others, I am 25 and was brought up by my grandad, he was the apple of my eye and I was, of his. When I had my children, he was starting to become unwell, but seeing my girls brightened his day, and as his condition (COPD) worsened, my sister and I decided he could not be alone at anytime, his nurse advised us to place him in a home, which he was firmly against, so as his wishes were priority. So, as a result, we would take it in shifts to be there and care for him everyday, for 2 years until we sadly lost him. The reason I believe I would be good at this job, is because I care, I have personal experiences that separate me from others. I have so much respect for elderly people and couldn't think of a better, more rewarding job than to show them someone cares:-) Thank you for reading.
