| I have not previously worked as a carer but I have 11 yrs experience working in the NHS as a diagnostic radiographer. More than just taking xrays I was fully responsible for my patients' physical and emotional well-being whilst they were under my care. I regularly helped people to dress and undress, go to the toilet and clean up as necessary. Manual handling was a daily part of the job and I'm experienced using hoists and other manual handling aids. I worked regularly with oncology patients and provided much needed emotional support to those going through difficult times. I have a great deal of experience working with people with a range of physical and learning disabilities, those with dementia and wheelchair users. In December 2019 I completed a 3 day training based on the Care Certificate standards set by Health Education England. I hold an enhanced DBS certificate which is available on the update service. I also love animals and extremely happy to help taking care of your pets. I do have a UK driving license but do not own my own car. I am working towards a career in massage therapy and whilst I build my business I would love to work part time as a carer and help make a difference in your daily life.
