Experience: 7 Years
I have worked in community care for five years. At present I'm working as a support worker in a residential home, providing personal care, social activities, feeding general well being. In the community, also carried out shopping tasks, picking up prescriptions.
I enjoy my job, but I like to arrange, and be involved in social activities, getting residents involved, interacting and bringing a smile to their face so this is where I think I would like to work. I have a crb. I have attended lots of training courses, such as dementia awareness, Parkinsons, Diabetes, Incontinence, etc. I'm passionate about what I do because. the elderly deserve to live in an environment with dignity, respect, and to enjoy what time of life they have. I would enjoy being an advocate, especially to elderly in their own homes, because so many are lonely.
