I have worked for a charity for 7 years working with children up to the age of 19 with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs including behaviours that challenge. I have a level 3 diploma in children and young people in residential care which has given me in depth learning on how to support vulnerable children. In addition, my older sister has severe autism, Tourette’s and fragile X syndrome which has given me a wide range of experience. I have also worked as a carer supporting elderly people with washing, dressing, feeding and companionship so feel I have a great deal of experience in all elements of care. As well as being an experienced babysitting looking after children from the ages of 2 up to 16 years old.
