I have a lot of respect for clients and family's and their decisions, this is important to me as everybody deserves their own rights. I have good communication and understanding skills, I will always listen to a client and have a good level of patience with them; with a sensitive approach at all times. I have worked in a day centre with around 50 service users being teens, adults and elderly people with learning difficulties and disabilities. I would support users with their emotional and physical needs. I also carried out personal care and would support clients with their personal needs such as feeding if needed. I also would prepare meals and refreshments. At the day centre I would encourage service users to join in with activities like cooking, dance/exercise, art and crafts, holistic's. We would also go out on day trips to museums or parks.
