I have worked as a carer before undertaking my nursing training, in 2 different places. I completed a course in Dementia Awareness. I went on to do a degree in Mental Health Nursing and went into a care home to work with elderly people with dementia. I have just left this post as I was the only nurse on very long shifts and was getting harder and harder to actually spend quality time with people!
