I have been working with children since the age of thirteen when I started babysitting for local families. Whilst babysitting, my roles included making dinner, playing with the children, reading with them and putting them to bed. I also child minded for a number of these families. For example, for one family I went around 2-3 times a week after school and looked after three children (aged 18 months, 3 and 5) until bedtime. I have also done voluntary work at a children's camp where I was responsible for three children every morning where I played and did creative activities with them. I have also worked at a day nursery for the last four summers, with ages ranging from 2-5 years old. The range of ages of children I have worked with is great from toddlers up to the age of 13.
