I have Done 2 years of children's nursing and have always had a passion for looking after children. I have had many years experience looking after children from ages newborn to 18 years, from an intensive care setting, to a school and home setting. I have worked in many child nurseries ranging from the ages of newborn to 5 years. My role was to follow a child's routine and offer educational activities and care to the child during the day. Included regular feeds, washing, playing, nappy changes, comforting, teaching and bed time routines. I have also completed a placement in a primary school where I was able to work with children from the ages of 5-8 years old where I learnt about educational play and care for the older child with regards to routine and different needs of the child. I have also had experience with children with special needs when I worked with Hospital@Home and Donna Louise Children's Hospice, where I was able to care for children with complex care needs in their home environment and provide medical assistance as well as love and care to each child, as each child is an individual who all have individual care needs.
