Childcare in Newcastle

| I'm 19 years old looking for part time work in the ST5 and surrounding area's (Newcastle under lyme, talke pits, kidsgrove). I'm a college student, studying level 3 health and social care, (which is partly based on children and young people). I'm fun, as well as responsible I have a level 1 diploma in childcare, level 1/2 qualification in health and social care. I'm very familiar with first aid. My availability will vary, depending on what times you require my service (as I have college). I am happy to work nights/evening. I have experience in children from my past work experience and my younger siblings. I do not own any transport or a driving licence so unfortunately I cant do any drop off's or pick ups (unless the school/nursery/clubs is within walking distance of your home). I can sign basic Makaton.

| I have Done 2 years of children's nursing and have always had a passion for looking after children. I have had many years experience looking after children from ages newborn to 18 years, from an intensive care setting, to a school and home setting. I have worked in many child nurseries ranging from the ages of newborn to 5 years. My role was to follow a child's routine and offer educational activities and care to the child during the day. Included regular feeds, washing, playing, nappy changes, comforting, teaching and bed time routines. I have also completed a placement in a primary school where I was able to work with children from the ages of 5-8 years old where I learnt about educational play and care for the older child with regards to routine and different needs of the child. I have also had experience with children with special needs when I worked with Hospital@Home and Donna Louise Children's Hospice, where I was able to care for children with complex care needs in their home environment and provide medical assistance as well as love and care to each child, as each child is an individual who all have individual care needs. | I have had experience in childcare for 3 years starting with volunteering in my church Sunday school with children aged 1-8. In the summer of 2018 I worked for a nursery placement company where I helped to care for children aged 1-5 in different nurseries. I have had a DBS check, first aid, fire safety and safeguarding training. My skills include baking, singing and I'm teaching myself to play the piano.

| Whilst I have no academic teachings in child care, I am the oldest of my generation in my family and have often been left caring for much younger family member from time to time. Everything I know was learnt from experience in family babysitting, and I hope I can at least use what I know to help others

| I am currently a residential support worker for children in care. I have 2 years experiance working in this field. I enjoy it very much! I am 21 years old, which may sound young but in my experience has worked in my favor as children tend to enjoy having me on the shifts as I'm relatable to them in some cases. I am working towards my NVQ level 3 children care. I am wanting to eventually start my own business but until then i'm more than happy to look after children.
