As an eldest daughter, I’ve always taken on a role as a babysitter in the household to my many younger siblings. I’m aware of the huge responsibility it is to be caring for children. I have two younger brothers who are 14 years younger than me, and I play a huge role in their lives as a motherly figure. Looking after them has taught me so much on how we should interact with little-ones. I’ve become a lot more patient and understanding. From a young age, I’ve been surrounded by a child-care environment since my Mum was a child-minder. As the eldest, I helped her out a lot and learnt the importance of safeguarding and health & safety. I get along with kids very well, whether it’s calming them down after a tantrum or playing with them.
