About Me: Hi, my name is Kirsty I am 20 years old and I am a student at Edinburgh University. I am currently finishing my third year as a Primary Education student and love working with a wide range of children of different ages and from different backgrounds. Experience: Through my university degree I have gained experience working with children who require very specific and different needs and I love learning from each child I have worked with. Including blind and autistic children and a child with down's-syndrome. On these placements I assist the teacher with the children's learning and plan my own activities which align with the school's teaching policy's and curriculum. I have even taken full responsibility for the class for 6 weeks. Therefore, I am able to offer support to young people if they have homework or areas which they are struggling with at school. When I was in High school I volunteered as a young leader in a local Brownie group where my responsibilities included organising craft evenings, music nights and games evenings. I also volunteer at my church's holiday club every summer, where I am a group leader and ensure that the children in my group are involved in each activity and they are having lots of fun.
