| I have an 12 year old son and have been a childminder in my own home since he was 14 months old. In that time I have looked after many children from 4 months up until 11 years of age when they have left me for senior school. Now that my son is older, I would prefer to use my skills for 1 family as I find that working in my own home, I am always at work and there is more and more unnecessary paperwork required by Ofsted. My main concern is a child's safety and so I ensure that the activities and outings that we do are both child friendly - fun and safe! If we try somewhere new, I prefer to go alone first to ensure the layout and equipment is suitable for all the ages that I look after and is safe. We do craft activities at home, but I prefer to get the children out in all weathers (wrapped up snug and warm, of course in the winter). I take them out every day, either playgroup, feeding the ducks, soft play areas, arts and crafts groups, book and toy libraries. During the school holidays we go further afield and our most recent trips were local parks and farms.

I am currently working as a nanny in Virginia Water but feel like I need a change. I look after a 3 and 8 year old and enjoy going to different playgroups, soft play and outdoor activities. I enjoy preparing the children's meals and different activities for the younger one throughout the day. I have worked with younger children also when I've worked in nurseries. I worked as a room leader in two different rooms in the under 2's for 5 years. I love working with children and building up a good bond with them and watching them develop and grow as a person. I can be flexible and am happy to babysit and do extra hours if needed.

My favourite role has definitely been nannying. I enjoy the one to one and building a relationship with the child or children in my care. I am a 34 year old Filipino and I have been a nanny all of my working life and in the U. K since 2006 and with the same family since 2009. I enjoy the company of children and whilst I am a fun nanny, I also make sure the children are well behaved and am firm with them when necessary. I have worked with many different ages, from newborn baby to moody teenager. It is interesting and rewarding to see how the children develop over a period of time. I also enjoy cooking and have been told I am very good at it. I have not had time to do my CPR certificate yet because this was not requested for my current job, but I am willing of course to do this very soon.
