A total smiler! Who will love and cherish anyone!
| Hello!! My name is Jas and I am 21 years old. From my profile photos alone you can tell that I am real smiler! A real passion of mine is helping others especially children, two years ago I was given the opportunity to mentor young adults full-time (6 month placement with a charity called City Year) at a inner city secondary school. This experience made me realise how much I adore working for other people and trying to help them with their emotional needs, well-being and of course their educational needs too. This experience was life changing, not only developing me personally but seeing that I want to live for others. I took this passion a little further as in fact last year I did a one year working holiday trip to Australia. Doing plenty of Au pairing, nannying, Live-in support work for a young adult with special needs and A LOT of housekeeping work! I have plenty of families who would happily give a reference to show I am not a monster! The ages of children I worked with went from as young as 15 months to 21 years old! I love and cherish every experience I had out there and am looking to keep building on this childcare portfolio! Working with children is so incredibly rewarding and so so so much fun! If there is one thing I would like to get across on my profile is that I am full of love! I will genuinely love every person I come into contact with, this follows with many other traits, for example, I will NEVER shout at a child, it has only been in life threatening moments where I have had to raise my voice. But I really do believe in talking through a problem with the child, disciplining simply through unconditional love. This is one thing I learnt whilst living with my first hippy australian family. I am currently working a couple of hours a week with tutoring and being a positive peer for a 15 year old boy with Autism. Hence will need one afternoon back week to keep this going. Moreover, I hav started a natural product business - yes I know... I am full of wonders, clearly. But this does mean from August/September time I will not be free on weekends as it will be completely packed full of business duties! I will love to talk more and more! But don't want to completely bore you! On the other hand, if you would like a cover letter and the details for references I will be more than happy to email that across! Thank you! Jas P.S. I am looking into doing a part-time level 2 course (this is only a couple of hours a week SUPER flexible!) in Childcare/special needs at UCB starting in September.
