I have always known that I have wanted to work with children. Looking after children is always a fun and unique experience, and their behaviour never ceases to surprise you.
For my work experience, I volunteered at a local nursery. As part of this role, I minded the children while they played outside, sorted out snacks for them, read them stories and played games with them. I found it hugely enjoyable to engage with the younger children and look after them.
I also have two younger cousins who I have helped to care for - playing pretend games with them, reading to them and minding them while they played, giving their parents a break from childcare duties.
My Mum was also a nursery nurse and I helped out at the nursery in which she worked a few times minding a large group of children and ensuring they were all content and happy.
I am kind and caring and I love to do all that I can to help others. After my degree, I want to go into social work.
Looking after children is a joy and I would love to make it into a career.
