After School Care Tiverton

| Hello my name is Sammi and I am 26 years old, I live in Tiverton but I am also able to travel to surrounding areas. My interests include art, learning languages (I am able to speak basic German, British sign language and Makaton sign language), cooking and baking, swimming, music and singing, being outdoors and active (long walks and yoga) & traveling-my latest trip was rock climbing in Spain. I also write a Childcare and Food Blog in my spare time. I worked for 8 years in local nurseries, in my last nursery I was Room Supervisor of the Toddler room, one to one support and SENCO for children aged 0-11 years. In November 2016 I changed my path and started working in an Outreach Academy as a Special Educational and Emotional Needs Teaching Assistant and support worker with children aged 11-16 years. I also have vast experience in babysitting, nanny work which i have done ad hoc since 2009. . I have extensive experience working with children with disabilities and behavioural problems and I currently regularly provide Respite care for 4 families with disabled children as well as 3 years experience working as a teacher of the deaf for a lovely little boy who I taught BSL and built on his communication skills, to which I have been accredited very high recommendations. I am currently undertaking driving lessons and have my test booked for May. Ideally I am looking for a job as a nanny plus babysitting, after school care and RESPITE.

| Hello! I can offer childcare for all children aged 2+ around the Exeter and Tiverton area. I am fully DBS certified and have lots of experience not only with my 2 younger sisters, but I also currently work in a primary school running a breakfast and after school club and a holiday club. This means I am used to planning and running educational and interesting activities, handling all types of children's behaviour and preparing healthy meals. Also, I am used to caring for 8 children at a time, so I'm perfect for larger families! I'm friendly, bubbly, and incredibly caring. I love helping children adventure and discover new things. I'm a non-smoker, I can look after pets and also do some housework whilst I am caring for children. Unfortunately, I don't have my own transport but if there are public buses that run close to your home, I can get those easily! In the future, I would like to do a degree in Early Years Foundation Stage childcare and open my own nursery, so I'm always grateful for any extra experience with younger children. During my career as a teacher, I have worked with children for over thirty years. More recently during the past five years, I have worked for families as an after school/occasional overnight nanny and as a Saturday nanny. I provide age related activities and help with homework. Another aspect of my role is to launder and set out school clothes for the next day, to prepare a meal and follow bedtime routines prior to the parents returning home. I live in Tiverton and have my own transport with a clean driving licence. I hold an enhanced CRB (now DBS) certificate and am First Aid trained.

| When I left secondary school I was sure that I wanted to work with children and threw myself into an apprenticeship which provided me with on the job training whilst completing my level 3 in child care. I have worked in a range of settings over the last 4 years ranging from a charity ran pre school,small nursery and a larger nursery and after school club.
