After School Care Forth and Endrick

My name is Heather and I live in Thornhill Stirlingshire with my husband and two children age 11 and 8 years. I aim to provide a happy, safe stimulating environment enabling you as a parent to feel relaxed and confident when leaving your child in my care and enabling your child to learn through play and to feel at home in their surroundings. I am a member of the Scottish child-minding association and am registered with the Scottish Care inspectorate (SCSWIS) and have completed several training courses including First Aid, Basic food hygiene and child protection. I have a large private enclosed garden for children to enjoy and plenty of toys and games for each age group. I use many local amenities, e.g. baby and toddler groups, library bus, soft play, parks etc. Activities are well planned, safety assessed and appropriate for each child’s age and stage of development. The children will socialise with other childminders and their children. I have both Full and Part-time spaces available for pre-school children. Before and after school places as well as school holiday and in service day coverage available.

| I have experience taking care of my niece who lived with us for 4 years back in my country in Kenya. I prepared her for school every morning, packed lunch and took her from school everyday. I also helped her with her homework and helped in bathing her. I also am a great cook and will follow recipes to the foods you would like me to prepare for you. I can also bake and will happily make cookies and small cakes for afternoon tea.

| I am currently in my second year at the University of Stirling, and I am studying Primary education with a specialism in Spanish. I enjoy music and play the trumpet and piano, and I play in a wind orchestra in Glasgow once a week. In my last year of high school, I spent one afternoon a week at a local primary school for work experience. I most recently worked for 3 months in a summer camp in America for children and adults with special needs. I would thrive in a caring job, as I have enjoyed my time in previous care jobs.

| Currently working for a family in the Stirling area looking after two lovely boys after school. 6 months experience working with type one diabetic child. Available for babysitting (preferably on a regular basis and not just one offs so I can get to know the children) also open to taking in another family for part time work in the mornings/weekends. I have been in this position since the start of august 2023. I was previously working in a nursing home as a care assistant mostly for people with dementia. I have a huge amount of experience working with people, mostly adults but would love to gain more experience with children and young people. I am kind, friendly and compassionate.

| I work as a Nanny or baby sitter in your home. I do pick from home to drop off in school and pick after school to drop off at home and stay till parents are back home. My child care experience is both personal ( raised 2 children with several nieces, nephews and neighbour’s) and corporate volunteering. The scope of work are clean up, cooking and feeding, housekeeping, homework help, babysitting and overnight sleepovers. I have recorded success because of my patience, eye for details, listening, fairness, planning, being decisive, maintaining welfare, health and safe environment amongst other skills to support the children in my care.

| Dear Family, my name is Sophie and I am currently in my third year at Stirling University. Outside of university, I work as a childminder twice a week which I really enjoy. I do not have any official qualifications, but a lot of experience. I did an au pair year in 2017/18 living with a family and caring for their two children, taking them to school, making sure they do their homework and taking them to their after school activities. I am very organised and reliable and would love to make your lives a bit easier through looking after your kids.
