After School Care Morecambe

| I worked at Busybees(childcare nursery) for around 10 years. I have worked in various classes from 3 months old to 11 years. I was mainly based in the after school club looking after children from 4-11 year olds. My duties were taking children to and from school, meal preparation, playing and doing homework with them. Besides being a mother of 6 and a grandmother of 4, I have all the experience you would require with maternal instincts. I believe that children are more important than anyone else and would treat a child that I care for as I would my own.

| I’ve recently graduated from university, studying fashion buying and brand management. During my time studying I worked as a nanny caring for two young boys as well additional babysitting work for parents at the same school. My role as a nanny was to get the boys ready for school, take them to school and pick them up. I also, was responsible for play dates, after school activities, home work as well as bathing the boys and getting them ready for bed.

In May 2012, I started working at an after school playgroup. This is where I realised I wanted to make a career working with children. I learned so much within the past three years there, and since, I have gone into university to study to become a primary school teacher. I started this course in September 2013. As well as working within the playgroup and studying, I do two days voluntary work at a primary school. I've been doing voluntary work there for 6 months now. From all this I have attended numerous safeguarding courses and completed my First Aid course.

I have done various nannying jobs and babysitting since I was 15. I looked after two children who were three and five and one was disabled. I did this for about three years in holidays and after school and occasional evenings. My tasks were taking them to the park, making them tea, tidying up, bathing them, getting them ready for bed, and other associated tasks. I have also nannied for a twelve year old and a nine year old, and carried out the same type of tasks; helping with home work, housework, making tea and entertaining them until their parents got in from work. I have also babysat for young babies and I have three children of my own. I enjoy reading, music, and as I have children of my own I enjoy doing activities that children enjoy such as baking, painting and going out.
