After School Care Harrogate

In my previous job I was a class teacher to a group of thirteen 2-3 year olds, and I taught language, writing, art, music and dance, drama, science and nature, mathematics, and sport. Another very important aspect of the job was helping children to develop both socially and independently. I also needed to maintain regular communication with parents, both after school and via email. My job before that was a summer camp position in Spain. I was teaching English to children ages 7-14 in the morning, and assisting with outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, swimming, and archery in the afternoons and evenings. Before that I worked for 2 years as a drama teacher at a Montessori kindergarten. During my time at this kindergarten I also taught craft and cookery, and it was a lot of fun finding new art projects for them to embark on, and new recipes for them to try. I also taught drama classes at a children's centre during this time. Before this, I worked as a support worker, supporting students and adults with learning disabilities.

I am 20 years old and currently a student, studying Social Work at the University of Stirling. I am returning home to Harrogate for the summer and would love to have some part time work, supporting and caring for kids. I am an outgoing and creative person, who enjoys the outdoors, arts and crafts and drama. I am used to working with 4-13 year olds, in an after school club, where I support the children in activities, such as art and games outside, and preparing snacks. After learning about child development in my studies, I understand that play is a key part of a child's development and would support that in my care with encouragement and creativity. I am enthusiastic, patient and can keep calm in emergencies. As I am currently studying Social Work and working with children, part time in Scotland, I am able to present a Scottish social services certificate and a Disclosure Scotland certificate, which is equivalent to a CRB check in England. I'm a 22 year old, just graduated from King's College London with a degree in Philosophy and Spanish. I have worked as a babysitter since I was 14 and have experience with all age groups. I worked for a year in a primary school in Spain where I taught English and Science and had sole responsibility for classes of 30 children ranging from nursery to Year 6 age. Hi, I'm 19. I have worked at an after school and holiday club for 3-11 year olds for a year and an currently working at a local nursery as a nursery assistant for 3 months to 5 years for the past year. I have done regular babysitting for the past 3 Years and last year I achieved my level 3 BTEC CCLD qualification which included safeguarding and paediatric first aid.

I have a lot of patience with children and have a caring nature, I started caring for my newborn siblings at a very young age and living under the same roof as them It was almost my first nannying job. Since then I have babysat for children that go to the local school, and taken them to after school clubs and hobbies.

To whom it may concern: I have had many years of childcare experience. In 2012, I worked at a Pre-Primary school as a after-school carer in which I was responsible for about twenty to thirty children, with the help of two other people. I was responsible for cleaning up, changing nappies, watching them play outside, reading at story time, and putting them to sleep. I have also been babysitting children of all ages and have also looked after three children when their parents went overseas for a week. I was responsible for fetching them from school, cooking dinner, watching them and helping with homework. I am a very passion ate person and always put all I can in anything that I do. I have grown up with younger children in my family and always loved looking after them. When I finished school, my plan was to go to college and study childcare then go on to university to study further. Due to my circumstances, I went straight into a full time job. In the last six months, I started looking after my neighbour's four year old and this has made me determined to go back to college next September. I pick him up from school and look after him for three hours. I give him a snack after school, either play games or take him to the park to play. I also baby sit every week for my other neighbour, their ages, 5, 7, and 11. I am a very patient and confident person, very friendly and caring.
