After School Care York

I have a wide-range of experience working with children. I babysat two girls aged 3 and 5 on a regular basis for three years before and after school or as otherwise needed. I prepared meals, helped with schoolwork and took the girls on outings to the park or pre-organised events on weekends. I also volunteered at a children's hospital in Brisbane, Australia on a weekly basis. This involved planning activities, supervising patients and their siblings aged 3-16 in the games and waiting rooms and most importantly distracting them from their illness and ensuring they had fun! I have also lived in France with a family and taught their 13 year old daughter who has Dyspraxia English. I planned lessons, helped her with her school work and became her friend. I also organised activities so that she had fun on the weekends and holidays while away from school. Overall I'm a great child carer because I have a wide range of experience and get along with children from all different ages and backgrounds. | I am currently Working as a nanny in York. I have experience with children from birth up to 11 years. Having trained at Norland College. I have experience changing nappies, toilet training, preparing bottles, preparing meals. I also have experience planning and carrying out age appropriate activities to encourage their development whilst providing them with entertainment and ensuring they are safe and happy. I have worked with a family since birth and the eldest is now 11years. I also have experience babysitting for multiple families caring for children from 12 months to 11 years. As well as experience in a two Nurseries and an after school club.

| I am a university student studying Sociology with an aim to be a primary teacher. I have two young neices which I care for regularly (1 and 7) and have experience working with children teaching dance and working in my mother's business in an after school childcare club. I have a passion to ensure children have the best care and ensuring they have fun and learn.

For some years, I was a regular nanny and babysitter, supporting parents on an evening/ daily basis. As a nanny, I looked after two young boys during school holidays, playing with them, providing light meals and ensuring that they were generally content. My babysitting experience encompasses a wide age range, from 8 months – 14 years and includes preparing children for bedtime. I am currently undergoing teacher training, therefore, I am able to tutor across a range of primary curriculum subjects, with a key interest in Literacy, History and French. If in the role of a nanny, I can effectively assist children with homework. Prior to starting the course, I worked as a TA in a junior school and, until recently, was a play leader at a children’s after school and holiday club, which caters for 3-13 year olds. My role there included supervising play, teaching cookery, and leading art and crafts activities, which is a strength of mine. I am a creative person and particularly love sharing books with children. I am proficient at cooking and baking and can offer some household duties, including cleaning and laundry. I hold a valid CRB disclosure and a clean driving license, although no current access to own car.

| I have three younger siblings who I have babysat for the last 10 years every school holiday. I provided educational days out to local sites, created treasure hunts and would make nutritional picnics. In addition to this, I have also had two years experience working within schools on student placements provided by my university. Last year I spent my summer working as an activity staff member at a summer boarding school. Daily activities included organising the students in the morning, taking them to breakfast, overseeing school breaks and arranging and overseeing afternoon activities either on site or around London.

| Hello! I'm Caroline, originally from the USA but I'm living in York to complete a masters degree at the university of york! I currently work at an after school club and watch/play with children who are 3-12 years old. I love working with the kids but as the summer holidays are coming up I won't be seeing them as often, so I would love to babysit! I have experience with illness and disease, particularly with type one diabetes. I'm very friendly and energetic and would love to get your little ones outside and keep them active! I also really love to cook and wouldn't mind preparing meals in the least bit! I'm available to babysit for the month of August until September 6th.

| Having used a childminder for my daughters when they were little I understand the anxieties parents faced when leaving their child for the first time. I have childminded now for 15 years and my own children have fled the nest, one travelling around Australia and one with her own baby. I hold all 3 steps to quality assurance awards, food hygiene certificate, first aid, ofsted registered and dbs checked. I hold a huge portfolio of training and course certificates from managing behaviour to hearing impairment to austism awareness. I have very limited spaces becoming available in September when two older children will start attending school. I do before and after school care currently picking up from Headlands Primary School and Haxby Playgroup. Hours available are 7am to 6pm Monday to Sunday along with overnight care to assist shift workers. I can accept 15 and 30 hour funding, childcare vouchers or direct debit payments.

I have worked with children of all ages on a number of different occasions and in various circumstances over the past 7 years. This ranges from helping at a local Brownie and Rainbow Group as a Young Leader, helping and sometimes organising weekly meetings to babysitting a number of children ranging in age from 2 to 13. The babysitting I have done is mostly evening and weekend work, but I have on occasion worked picking children up from school and looking after them whilst their parents are working. In 2013 I also worked as an Au-Pair in Beijing, China for 3 months looking after 3 children before and after school, at weekends and during school holidays as well as helping them with their English. I really enjoy working with children and feel it is important to do the best you can for them whilst giving them a varied and interesting time when I am with them.
