After School Care East Grinstead

| I currently work with a lovely family in Dormans Park near East Grinstead, helping care for their 4 young children ages 11, 9, 8 and 6. Since January 2013, I have been with them each week part time so I am looking for a simultaneous role with another family. My duties include sole charge school pick ups, taking the children to various after school activities, helping with homework, tea time and bath time, putting the children to bed, reading, domestic chores around the home and day trips out in school holidays. In September 2016 I was a part time nursery assistant at a day care nursery school for 3 years where I worked closely with children between the ages of 3 months and 5 years. I had key children whom I helped progress with their next steps of learning. I have an up to date DBS and first aid certificate. Currently one day a week on a Tuesday I care for a 3yo boy all day at his home and we go out and attend various activities during the day. I'm kind, patient and lots of fun. I would bring a stable and valuable input to a family looking for some extra help. I also have my own car and can be independent if travel is needed.

| Hi, below I talk about my experience that may sway you into picking me, but recently I have lost my 3 remaining grandparents. This has left a void in me that I am hoping caring for someone can help with. I came out of college to start my gap year, gaining valuable design experience, but I ended up falling in love childcare as well. With the first family, I spent a year with two boys (ages 4 and 7), taking care of their after school needs.

| I have been an Ofsted Registered Childminder for the past twelve years. Previously I worked as a Primary School teacher specialising in Key Stage 1 for nine years. I have a breadth of experience and knowledge in how children learn and develop, and I love my job! I have a part-time vacancy from March 2018, have a full-time vacancy from September 2018 for an under five year old. I also have a few slots available for before and after school care for Pound Hill Infant and Junior Schools. I have three daughters of my own aged 8,12 and 14, and my husband is registered as my assistant to help whenever necessary. We have busy mornings where we visit toddler groups, the local family centres, parks, the library and much more. After a healthy and nutritious lunch we have a more restful afternoon playing quietly at home before school pick-up time. Then the children of different ages enjoy playing together inside and outside in our fully enclosed garden, often enjoying a craft or baking activity. I have a wide range of toys, games and books, and I regularly borrow toys from the local toy library. I have excellent references from my childminding parents and received a good grading, with outstanding features in my previous Ofsted inspection. I have a range of relevant qualifications including my degree, first aid, safeguarding, and more recent training.

| I’m a very sociable person and good with interaction, adults and children alike. I often look after my cousins, whether that be taking them to and from school or babysitting. I also have a younger brother who is 14 so I have dealt with a range of ages. Previously done after school activities such as netball with year 3-4 children and participated at school with other young children.

My role included picking up from school, preparing their supper, driving them to after school clubs and occasionally babysitting. I have a 2 year old nephew who I look after one day a week while my sister works, and two 9 month old nieces. When I arrived in London I found a french family who where looking for an after-school nanny. It was a family with 5 children. I worked with them more than 2 years and an half. Then I worked for an English family with 2 children. I have worked for them from March 2011 till July 2019. We have a strong bond but the children have grown and the transport to Clapham made it impossible for me to keep working for them. However I have completed a childminder course and I am planning to have my DBS and First Aid renewed soon.
