| Thank you for taking your time to read my profile. I am a highly motivated, enthusiastic person, I am a reliable, honest and hardworking individual with a confident and outgoing personality. In the past 4 years I have au pairing in America and Australia. In both countries I worked with families of five with ages ranging from 2-7, where I was responsible for the welfare of the children, be that getting them ready for school, after school activities or taking the to the park, to name a few. My recent experience has made me realised very strongly that I would like to work and be around children and how quickly children can become comfortable in my presence. I have been working as a nursery nurse for the last year, but have experience in babysitting and after school childcare for the past 4 years. My aim is to start private nannying from May/June this year. I am trained in paediatric first aid and have a level 2 in food and hygiene. As well as nannying, I am also a vocal coach for primary school ages and support child develop through creative activities and education. | I've recently moved to exeter, my hobbies include crotchet and I enjoy travelling and nature walks, My mother was a nanny all throughout my childhood and I'm also a brilliant cook. I am currently training to be a primary school teacher so as a result have spent quite a large amount of time in classrooms, with the ages raining from 4 to 12, I have a DBS check and know basic first aid. While my experience is within a classroom setting, it gives many advantages as I know how to look after over 25 children at a time which can be challenging, and I also have experience with SEND children, especially considering I have ADHD myself, so understand it a bit more than you'd expect. I am more than happy to help with homework after school, and cook or clean.

This included picking up from school/nursey, after-school activities, mealtimes, bath and bedtime, nappy changes and bottle feeding. I have also had 1+ year payed experience, the child was 22months when I started and is now 3. This includes the usual nannying activities. Preparing and cooking healthy lunch time meals. Helping potty train the child, putting child down for naps, changing nappies and helping the child get dressed for the day. Preparing healthy snacks at home and also taking snacks out on walks. Taking child to library and encouraging reading and enjoying stories. Playing and making fun activities for the child to enjoying. Making sure the child spends plenty of time outside whether this is on walks or playing in the garden. I have experience as a Live in nanny in London- regular nanny duties with 1 year old, 4 year old and 7 year old boys.

My name is Gemma and I'm 29 and a mum to a 9 year old girl. I'm friendly, reliable, organized and enthusiastic. I like to learn new things and I am a keen learner. I am very committed and caring and like meeting new people. I also have a very calm and patient nature. I have looked after children of all ages as well as having my own child and looked after children with special needs.
