Seeking a caregiver to support my daughter at Mount Royal University and act as scribe and assist as needed. She is going into her second year in the Health & Physical Literacy Program. She is a 25 year-old female - all training provided We are looking for kindhearted, enthusiastic caregivers to help support our 25-year-old daughter who has cerebral palsy. A bubbly personality is considered an asset. Our daughter is a very upbeat person and a student at Mount Royal University. She is in a wheelchair and we are looking for someone to attend her classes with her as well as help her in the MRU gym plus go with her to various activities in Calgary such as bowling, shopping and mini golfing etc. She requires help in the washroom. Our daughter is delightful, verbal and fun to be around. Someone positive, caring, and compassionate would be the ideal candidate. This is a great position for students in Nursing, Education, Kinesiology, Rehabilitation Duties include the following: Scribing lecture material Helping student in class to feel included and supported in the program Helping with physiotherapy program at MRU Gym and implementing stretching & strengthening exercises Going to various locations, such as Heritage Park, Telus Science, Zoo, Bowling, Malls etc. Personal care assistance in the washroom Work hours: 9 am-4 pm (but this is flexible) Days of work: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays Location of job is at Mount Royal University and other activities within Calgary area

Looking for someone to assist him with Personal Care tasks prior to him going to school Monday to Friday mornings. Training will be provided however, preference will be given to candidates with experience/education in these fields. Once he has left for school the duties would include housekeeping tasks. Looking for someone to assist with Physio Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy (using AAC Device) exercises. Training will be provided however, preference will be given to candidates with experience/education in these fields. Duties: Transferring using a lift and/or manual, Range of Motion Exercises, help using walker, standing frame, and various PT, OT, and SLP exercises to help meet goals outlined in FSCD IPP. Looking for in-home respite twice a week for my homeschooled daughter while I work. Hours will be approximately 6 hours a day and can include outings and field trips if all appropriate checks are in place. I may be working from home or out at a meeting. Daughter is on the autism spectrum with a diagnosis of PDA (pathological demand avoidance). This is the perfect opportunity for a nursing, OT, SLP, education or similar field student. I am flexible in the days and times we arrange as long as they are consistent each week.

I’m looking for part time care for my 7 year old son in the fall, and possibly some respite during the summer months. He will be in grade 2. He needs a pick up from school, and an outing (something active). It would be roughly 2:30-5:30 M-F and 11:30-2:30 Fridays. Transportation is required, as well as experience with, or openness to learn, strategies for supporting behavioural and emotional regulation needs. This includes co-regulation, strong boundaries, and knowledge of the regulation/escalation cycle. We live in the deep SE of Calgary. He would do especially well with someone that’s keen to be active, and comfortable with activities like swimming. Pay is negotiable, and will reflect experience and a fair rate. This is partially funded by FSCD.

Hello, I am looking for a person who would be interested in intermittent respite. (see below) My son has epilepsy and I have to have someone stay with him when he has seizures. I am looking to set up a roster of folks I can call when he has seizures for 2-3 hour stints of respite when I have appointments (all arranged ahead of time) I would interview on the phone , Zoom or in person....which ever is most comfortable to you. We are funded by PDD and I pay $350.00 day (24 hrs) and $27.00 hour for additional hours over 24 hours. Thank you , Virginia
