My granddaughter is 4 and has been at The Anchor ELC since she was 8 weeks old. BEST daycare EVER!! They are loving, kind, and TEACH these kids academics and the love of Jesus! HIGHLY recommend. I have seen some negative reviews....must be parents that did not tell the truth about their child upon enrollment and were unenrolled!! These people are truthful, honest, and kind to all!!

BEST DAYCARE EVER!! My son is 3 years old, about to be 4, and my daughter is 2 years old and they both LOVE every teacher, every staff member, director and assistant director. Missy and Kelsea have been nothing but kind and loving to not only my children, but to my husband and I as well!! My son had difficult potty training at home, which we have regular sized adult toilets and I didn't change them out or add a special toilet because, well there's only adult size toilets every where we go in public, so it only made since! With the help of the ELC staff and his teachers, my son was able to potty train in just a few weeks before moving up to the 3 year old class. They have been so patient and wonderful to our family and have always had our kids best interests at heart. They have been so open to help us and give us advice on how they were able to help our kids use the restroom because we needed help. My daughter is currently in the 2 year old class and they have helped so much with her potty training so that she can move up to the 3 year old class when it is her time to move up! I have personally met every teacher and staff member, and I know that they go above and beyond in everything they do! The Anchor Early Learning Center is a daycare of excellence! On top of all that they do with teaching and assisting in potty training, they have helped so much with my sons speech. My son has an anxiety and OCD disorder and since starting at the ELC, he has blossomed into a completely different kid!! I can't thank them enough for all they have done for our children and for us! The Anchor ELC is just simply the best!!

My 3 year old son attended the summer program for a few weeks. During his time there he had a few potty accidents which was a bit unusual because he was potty trained and had been for a few months. The teachers were more then willing to work with him and it seemed as though the staff (director and assistant director) were as well. I initially thought that maybe he was just having a difficult time getting used to his new environment but upon further investigation I learned that our son's 3 y.o. class was designated to use the adult sized restrooms. My son was used to the smaller toilets normally used in daycare and elementary school settings. My husband and I were a bit surprised that a day care that had been around for so long did not have toilets designed for small children. We believe our son was not communicating that he needed to use the restroom because of the difficulty he was having using the adult sized toilet and because he was unfamilar with the staff. Nevertheless, he was un-enrolled from the program. On his last day, he was sent home with a large poop in a plastic bag that was placed in his backpack along with his clean clothes which he hadn't used. I was never told that his poop was in his backpack nor had he ever been sent home with his poop and because he didn't attend school the next day I didn't become aware that there was poop in his backpack until two days later. When I explained to the co-director, Chelsea, what had happened and if she was aware that my son had been sent home with a large piece of his own poop in his backpack she nonchalantly told me "no" and that there was "nothing she could do about it." No apology. No explanation as to whether or not that was school policy or that she would talk to the staff member who had done this. Nothing. When I later spoke to the director, Missy Whitmire, and asked her whether or not she was aware that my son was sent home with poop in his backpack, she said "yes... because I am the one that placed it in his back pack." When I asked her why, she began to explain to me that they have never had this situation happen before (specifically the day care had never had any child in the 3 y.o. class have an accident) and she may consider handling the situation differently next time but my child should have been potty trained. Again, no apology or acknowledgement of wrong doing. I'm writing this review so no one else gets treated as poorly as my son was upon being un-enrolled in the program. His teacher, Ms. Kierra, was very sweet and I can't say enough good things about her but unfortunately the director, Missy Whitmare and the assistant director Chelsea or Kelsey (not sure how she spells her name) seemed so kind in the beginning but upon un-enrollment were rude, unapologetic, unprofessional and handled the matter poorly. They didn't see anything wrong with sending a young child home with his own poop in his backpack.

my child has been a student since she was 2, she is now 6 and is aging out. She loves going to school everyday. The teachers are caring and patient with each child. Very pleased to have my child somewhere I feel confident and have never had any concerns about her safety or well being. The staff goes over and beyond to make each child feel welcome, loved, and cared for.
