I am so happy I found this beautiful place! My two year old has learned so much within the few weeks he has been attending. He now is on a daily routine, eating better (super picky eater), counting, identifying colors & shapes, and playing nicely with others. He is happy when I drop him off and pick him up! The staff there is always cheerful and greets you will a smile in the morning. I seriously don't know what I would have done if I didn't find this school. I am so blessed to have them as extended family now! Thank you AOL!!

My daughter has been with Ms. Lyndsey for two years! She was previously in a home daycare setting, but making the switch to The Academy of Learning has been life changing! I drive her from Virginia Beach because the quality of education is unparalleled to anything else around!

I enrolled my son at The Academy of Learning at the age of 2; he goes 3 days a week to gain social skills and expand on the knowledge gained at home. Ms. McIntosh and her staff made him feel right at home! He looks forward to his days at school with his friends....and even was potty trained within 3 weeks! Every week is full of enriching learning activities...He's counting to 30, naming exotic animals, and expanding his vocabulary every day. I greatly appreciate all of the AOL staff and how attentive they are to my child and how dedicated they are to his development.

My child attended The Academy of Learning. The environment was warm and I knew that my son was in loving hands. Ms McIntosh was very attentive to his needs and had a awesome lesson plan filled with hands on learning. He would often come home and all he could talk about was what he learned that day.

My son has been going to The Academy of Learning since they opened at their new location in September. The environment is very clean and welcoming. Every single teacher is personable, knowledgeable and really cares about helping your child grow and improve. Since my son started at just under 2 to now, he has learned so much from the alphabet, the phonetics of each letter, can count to 100, knows his continents, knows advanced words that I know most 3 year olds don't know and so so so much more. He comes home daily having done new activities and crafts. The academy follows the Norfolk School system criteria and I have no doubt my son will be well prepared when transitioning to preschool.
