Choosing to enroll your child in a preschool program is a significant step in your child's developmental process. As the Director of Shining Stars, I strive to create a positive, nurturing, educational environment for your child to succeed. I firmly believe that if your child feels happy, respected, and safe, he/she will strive to learn and strive to excel. Each child is unique and each will learn at his/her own pace. At Shining Stars, your child's various interests, learning styles, and abilities are recognized and developed. Classroom activities are designed to promote aspects of individual child growth and development. Identification and recognition of your child's needs are keys to his/her success. At Shining Stars, we work closely with the families enrolled to ensure every child has a rewarding, positive, and fun preschool experience.


2 Day Program
Our two day program places an emphasis on socialization, play, sharing, and conflict resolution. The children are encouraged to express their feelings in positive ways and to follow reasonable school rules. Each child is treated as an individual and expectations vary according to the age specific skills they have mastered. The activities and experiences presented promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth.

3 Day Program
In addition to building on the skills mentioned above, our three day program provides an abundance of academic learning activities. The children participate in a variety of age-appropriate skill building exercises. The Learning Centers are designed to promote peer cooperation, Kindergarten readiness and strengthen self-esteem.

5 Day Program
Our five day program allows the child to learn in a consistent structured environment. Age-appropriate activities are presented and implemented to encourage growth socially, emotionally, and academically. The daily routines include activities from all areas of learning: art, dramatic play, literacy, math, music, science, and writing.

Extended Day Program
Our extended day program is an extension of our morning routines and learning. A strong emphasis is placed on daily self-help activities, developing individual responsibility and becoming confident members in a large, social group environment. The longer day prepares the student to adapt to the full-time Kindergarten schedule.
