Kera Lewis- Rodriguez, philosophy of teaching focuses on the cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development of each child. With the creative use of basic American Sign Language (ASL) and Spanish, Creative Curriculum, Ages & Stages assessment tool, and manipulatives (i.e. Lego bricks, puzzles, foam letters, numbers, and shapes, etc.), the children retain information for basic learning and use what is taught to progress into elementary school. The children are given opportunities to work together and solve problems, and are encouraged to try new things, establishing a sense of teamwork and building self-confidence as they develop their social skills and physical development.
