Math is one of the only subjects that requires foundational skills in order to be successful in later years. For example, a student will never be proficient at multiplication if they are not skilled in addition.
At Math without Limits, we focus on foundational skill development which is an intervention strategy. Our students are taught the "why" behind every skill they learn to truly transform their understanding of mathematics. This will deepen their conceptual knowledge basis and positively impact their school grades.

2.) Prerequisite Intervention - For students who are struggling with grade-level standards due to major prerequisite skill gaps.

My daughter (high school freshman) has been working with Amara once or twice per week for several months now. She has shown great improvement in her confidence in math and in her application of the skills, demonstrated by increased test scores and more positive feedback from her teacher. Amara has been very flexible and conducts most sessions with my daughter via FaceTime, which works out well and seems to be more comfortable for everyone. I highly recommend Amara for teaching math skills and math confidence!

Amara has been tutoring our daughter for the last two years for Algebra I and Algebra II/Trigonometry; recently, they started doing PSAT math prep together. Our daughter very much enjoys working with Amara because she is always able to provide a clear and concrete explanation and utilizes many different methods to ensure that she understands the underlying concepts. My daughter's confidence in math has clearly increased as a result of the tutoring.
My daughter has done one in-home session with Amara but typically their sessions are conducted via Facetime which my daughter loves and allows for a lot of flexibility. Amara has made a major effort to make herself available to coincide with tests and projects that are due (even when my daughter requests her help last minute) and is always happy to answer a homework question whenever it may arise.

Our daughter who is currently a high school junior has been working with Amara for over a year. Our daughter struggled with many concepts in math last year and felt unsure in class. Because of her work with Amara, she was able to improve her grades every trimester and ended her sophomore year with an A- in mathematics. This year thus far, she is flourishing because of her work with Amara. I highly recommend her for any math classes. I have shared her contact with many of the other moms at my daughter's school.
Amara is conscientious, professional, dedicated and engaging. She finds a way to connect with her students and is able to chunk instruction so that it is not overwhelming for the students. Amara is absolutely amazing. I will continue to seek out her services.
