My son was at HLC from six months to three years, and his little sister was there from four months until she was one and a half. We just moved to another city, and leaving HLC was absolutely the hardest part of the move for me. From the director, to the office staff, to the teachers, our children were so well loved and learned so much. The place is bright, clean, and well organized, and the activities are creative, educational, and a lot of fun. I really can't say enough good things - they have set the bar so high for daycares for our family!

This daycare is truly a gem! As a first time mom, I was fortunate to have home care for her first 11 months, but since she started coming here she has flourished mentally, emotionally, and physically. The teachers were very accommodating since she did cry a lot for the first month of daycare. The facility is very clean and the teachers and staff love and care so much for the kids. Unfortunately, we had to move out of state soon after she turned 2 years and she now attends another daycare. With her current experience at this daycare I have to say that one of the things I appreciate the most about HLC is the very low teacher turnover (for a relatively new center, this is extraordinary!) which allows the kids to develop good relationships with the teachers (special shoutout to Miss Emilinda and Miss Angie!) and make them feel more comfortable away from home. Miss Maddy has a lot of experience with childhood education and really knows her stuff when it comes to running the center. I've recently given birth to another child and while he will stay home for a few more months, I wish that I could just transport HLC to where we currently live! If only...

Our 1.5 daughter has been attending HLC since she was 7 months. She was on another daycare for 3 months and the warmth and love she has received since joining is non comparable. It is so comforting and reassuring when she starts the day with a smile when she arrives and is as happy and cheerful when I pick her up. Everyone knows every kid by their name as well. The wide range of hours (7am thru 6.30pm) is very convenient when both parents work and receiving pictures during the day via their app is great too. I would highly recommend HLC.

I have nothing but the absolute best things to say about this place and staff. From day one as a new mom of a 4 month old everyone took him in as their own. They report back all details of their day and know every child by name. It was the most reassuring thing leaving him there when I went back to work. I tell everyone about this place and hope others can reap the benefits of miss Maddie's amazing daycare. She is there every day and is truly invested and you can tell she loves what she does.

I am a parent, educator and community organizer and I could not be happier about our choice to put our child in Hudson Learning Academy. HLC Kids Academy is an excellent childcare facility and community of learning. The staff are incredibly caring and show a clear love for the children they care for and the work that they do. The facility is clean and very well maintained. Communication is clear, consistent and easy to follow- the school even has an app with which parents receive school updates (and photographs) of their children throughout the school day. Children are given much attention throughout the day and the activities are varied and encourage cognitive, motor, and social development. Further, the school is bilingual- and the benefits of multilingual exposure have been cited in numerous studies. The parent community is engaged in the activities of the school and is a great resource and support network for parents in the area.

HLC treats your little one like family. It has been wonderful experience seeing our little grow and learn with such professional and caring staff. With daily photos and updates, first time parents feel reassured that their little one is in good hands.

Our daughter Alice joined HLC Minis in May 2016 and now she is a Trimi starting September 2016. This is the place where she loves to be and these are the people whom she is missing so much when she does not see them for a few days. We wanted to thank Maddy Miqueli, the director of the daycare center, and the teachers, miss Ariadna, miss Kennia and Ms. Joy, for their enthusiasm, interesting activities, diligent care and all the love they give our loved ones every day. We are sure that Alice will never forget the great days there with her teachers and great friends as well as the yoga classes, pizza days and the fire station visit!

The staff in the infant/toddler room love on the babies all day. They are all so caring and kind. The babies are stimulated with different activities throughout the day. Our little boy is all smiles every time we drop him, and still smiling but ready to snooze when we pick him up. The management staff is very attentive and they communicate well with us, which is very important as first time parents. We can tell that our little one loves this place and we love it too!

HLC is one of the best daycare centers in the area.The rooms are clean and tidy. Staffs are wonderful. They are very friendly and warm to the parents and caring & loving to children. I trust them and 100% recommend HLC to all.

We love HLC! My son, Johnny, is 3 and has been attending this school for nearly 4 months now. When I drop him off he is so happy. I get detailed information through an app of how much and what he ate, as well as pictures of what project he is doing. This is by far the best school in the area.

Finding the right daycare is not an easy task. I needed to go back to work when my son was about 5 months old. Walking into HLC Kids Academy I knew in my heart that it was the right place for him. It is always immaculate and the staff is always friendly and warm. I can leave my baby knowing that he is in the best care possible. It is honestly the best daycare around.

My star rating reflects my family's thoughts & satisfaction with HLC. This is the best hidden gem in the Union City/Weehawken area. To the parents considering...no need to think twice. Just do it. HLC is the ideal learning center for children because it's a stimulating environment with lots'o love and care and attention given to each child by the great teachers and administrators. I have found this gem near my home threw word of mouth, i was hesitant to have my toddler start daycare but wanted him to socialize more and two of my fellow moms send their children there and only had amazing things to say, so i decided to take a tour. From the very first tour all the staff made me feel like family everyone is so knowledgeable and caring. I love the diversity in the curriculum and how my son gets exposed to so many different styles of learning. I am so happy i enrolled my son and the transition from being home with me to being at school was so easy with all the wonderful help! thank you so much HLC!

I had sent my baby to a daycare in Manhattan where it's more than twice as expensive as HLC but the latter has better facilities and also better trained teachers. When my husband and I looked around HLC for the first time, we didn't need to look at any other daycares. The rooms are so clean, tidy, bright, and delightfully decorated along with many fun things babies can safely play with.
The daycare sends me pictures of my baby almost every day, and I get a detailed description of how much she ate. slept and changed. When the weather is good, they take infants out in a stroller and my baby gets to have fun looking outside during outings. My baby has been going there for 4 months now, since she was 10 months old. She has become less fussy, learned to walk before her first birthday, learned to tilt sippy cups (I was never able to teach that) and understands a little bit of both Spanish and English. I like that most of the teachers speak dual languages so she can learn both. All the staff are genuinely caring, and so wonderful. I would like to give special thanks to principle Ms. Maddy who is very respectful, caring, and dedicated for the development of all the kids.
I once attended baby-and-mom Yoga class held by the daycare and it was fun and helpful. My baby loves to play there, and all the babies look so content and I rarely hear a crying baby.
And I was informed that soon, they will have date-night baby care service on weekends, I am anticipating for that too.
I really appreciate Principle Maddy and all the staff for the love, patience and dedication to babies and children. I am so grateful that this daycare is near our place while being such a relief as a working mom.
