Extremely disappointed at recent events. My daughter and son last day is today as I can no longer trust them. My son is in grade school and they dropped him off in the morning to school and picked him up after. Today, they forgot it was Wednesday because of the holiday and did not get him in time. They only realized what day it was because my grandma was picking them up early. Mistakes happen but as a parent, I would not expect excuses from someone caring for my children let alone an established business. I would want solutions and precautions to avoid it happening again. Instead I got excuses and an empty apology with dismissal of solutions. Even saying "I can't guarantee it won't happen again" and saying an alarm every Wednesday was "unreasonable" of an ask instead of simply taking responsibility and understanding that it unacceptable. You have 1 job. Drop him off and then pick him up. In the end, she had the nerve to say I have to find someone to pick him up because she won't be. You honestly think I would take any of my kids to your center after you are so dismissive and flippant about forgetting my child? What if you forgot them in the center? In the car? Opps?!? What if the school didn't do their job and kept him safe until someone got them? You think the school would be the only one's responsible? Accountability is so lacking and that entire conversation was so unacceptable. This is a child forgotten not a food order. She had nerve to say "well what if she got into an accident on the way to the school?" Well would you call someone? Me? The school? Or would you just say all well too bad and worry about yourself? If it's a major accident and you are unable to contact anyone that's understandable. I'm not unreasonable but to aquait that to a preventable issue and think its okay to "forget" children to the point that agreeing to an alarm is too much is so worrying. Thankfully, my child is safe and neither will be going back. I wasn't mad at what actually happened. Its the flippant response thinking forgetting to do your job is okay in certain circumstances when it comes to children. Should have simply said "this is unacceptable. I take full responsibility. In the future this is how I will prevent it happening." Thats an apology. Not "I apologize but it can happen again and I won't take precautions." WHAT?!? I'm supposed to trust you now? You shouldn't even have a license with that attitude. What else you going to forget? My daughters allergy? Forget to feed her? Just "human" to forget your responsibilities and your job right? SMH This was the first time it happened. I just really didn't think they would think this was "okay". It's not. Its preventable. And I pay you for it. Its not a free service. This wasn't a favor. And its my freaking kid.
