This has been my daughters first preschool experience. I was leery about in home care but there seemed to be no other options around. Upon meeting Ms. Stephanie I felt at ease. My daughter has been going here for 6 months now and is always excited to go to school. I love the daily pictures and great communication.

We are so happy to have found A Place 2 Learn & Grow after an extensive search for part-time care for our toddler, who has been going for the past six months. We have had nothing but good experiences. I feel confident leaving our daughter with Ms. Stephanie and Ms. Naomi. She gets lots of personal attention and time for fun, engaging activities (outdoor time, crafts, socializing, music, etc.) while there, plus Ms. Stephanie shares pictures from each day and does a good job keeping us parents updated. We love it. Highly recommend!

At first meet, Mrs Stephanie presents as very chipper and upbeat. I am writing to share my experience for parents and their children. Mrs Stephanie treats clients as they are disposable and makes very emotion-based decisions with no regard for the children or families she serves. She does not respect the wishes of the parents. She secretly and arrogantly goes against them. Ms. Stephanie kept our potty-trained child in diapers the entire time she was in her care. This was our 1st and only disagreement. She gave no notification to us that she was doing this. Our child had been potty trained for 8 months. We discussed potty training in detail prior to starting. Mrs Stephanie agrees that she remembered our many conversations but decided without informing us put our child back in diapers. Ms. Stephanie abruptly (same day) ended care via text message, while we were at work, due to our finding out of the situation and bringing it to her attention. She told us that our child could not return after that day. We respected her decision to end care with no quarrel as we don't not want our child somewhere she isn't welcomed.

Mrs Stephanie is quick to fluster when issues are brought to her attention instead understanding and having the child's best interest at heart. Her conflict resolution skills are lacking and she would rather get rid of a child then correct her actions and mistakes leaving parents high and dry.

In addition, the name listed on google is completely different than the legal name for the business.

Lastly, She charges $150 supply fee for new sippy cups, blankets etc for incoming children but does not allow the child to take purchase item at the end of the relationship. Her rationale is that she wants to use it for other children. Most likely we did not get new items but paid $150 to use the old item other kids was made to leave behind. $150 to reuse products bought by other parents or at least that is what will happen to the child who received my daughter's items.

My son has been attending a place 2 learn & grow for almost two years now. Stephanie welcomed myself and my son in as family since the day we started. She sends daily photos of activities which is very comforting to see as a busy parent. She is very hands on and my son never wants to leave when it's pickup time which is a big sign that he is happy there. She feeds them two meals and snacks which helps me out as a working mother. There have been times where an emergency has come up and she would keep my son until I was able to come get him which showed me she didn't just see this as a business, but that she truly does love the children and their families. I have no complaints at all! She has made me feel completely at ease bringing my son here and I'd recommend her to any parents looking for a loving family type environment as their daycare.

My son is speech delayed and we wanted to do an early intervention and the first step was to move him to a different preschool/daycare setup where he will learn and be interested in talking. When we started here, Stephanie would send me photos and updates every few hours, she still sends me updates every few hours. I loved how organized Stephanie is from the very first email she sent me. She goes above and beyond to make sure your kid and you are comfortable. I love her work ethic, she has some kind of super powers that she remembers everyone's special needs, she remembers who ate what at each meal. The best part is the food, she makes everything by herself from scratch. I spoke about a couple concerns I had and she was very understanding and seemed equally concerned and offered to help my son. I toured quite a few preschool/daycares and I never liked the way how the teachers work mechanically and doesn't have a connection with kids but the vibe I got at her place was very ensuring that my son will be cared for.

My family at the time was going through transition and my daughter desperately needed a routine and some consistency. My husband and I were nervous as we weren't a fan of having "strangers" watching our 4 month old daughter, but we didn't have any other option. Let me tell you Stephanie and her team have gone out of their way to make me feel at ease and I'm no easy mom...for example I needed my baby to have eczema cream applied every 2 hours and wanted a text every hour the first couple of weeks. Stephanie and her team gladly did so and went out of her way to make Paige feel like part of the family. By day 3 I saw a huge difference with my daughter. She is much happier and is so excited to go to day care. My mother is relocating to California as she is retiring at the end of year and we were planning on having her care for my daughter. But seeing that my baby is thriving with Stephanie, my husband and I have decided to keep her here for a little while longer. I'm not one that is easy to convince but Stephanie has made me a believer. Thank you for loving our daughter and for welcoming us into your family.

Stephanie is amazing. Our daughter was getting lost in a large daycare and showed no desire to learn while at preschool. We switched her to Stephanie's and we're so happy we did. Our daughter immediately showed interest in learning again. She got her confidence back. Stephanie has a great program that allows the kids to express themselves individually while encouraging them to learn. She also will love your child as if he/she were her own, which eases a working mother's mind. I would definitely recommend Stephanie to anyone.
