I am interested in applying for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position. My extensive experience working with children and geriatric patients in the medical field has given me a high level of expertise as a nurse in ensuring the care and treatment of my patients. I have over 23 years training and experience as being a Home Health Aide, Certified Nursing Assistant, Private Duty Nurse, and a LPN with children and geriatric patients in short-term and long-term care facilities. I have had success in my experiences leading and supervising other nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. As well as all the intricate details that come with being a case manager within my field of work. Some of my day-today duties have included, the administration of medication, the scheduling and transporting of patients to appointments, communication with doctors and families, the ordering of supplies, file/record maintenance, maintaining patient confidentiality, caring for the mentally disabled and chemically addicted patients, and delivering excellent customer service. I've been employed as a caregiver for 28 years. I administer medication, assist with bathing, all personal care, prepare meals, drive to doctor appointments, grocery shopping, travel with clients, light housekeeping, and exercise. I've always known that I was born to be a caregiver.

I love children very much! I have watched kids ranging from babies to teens for the past 7 years. I have also taken care of household duties at the same time including laundry, animal care, cooking meals and light housework. I feel that every child is unique, special and bundles of fun! I have many years of experience with a variety of different animals, ranging from gold fish to horses. I have had at least one dog in my house at a time since I was a young child and love working with animals. I worked with horses for a year, breaking and training them to be sold and also for shows. I have trained many puppies and used to own a cat. I have had my own fish, and cared for rabbits and hamsters among other animals. I care for and provide exercise as needed.
