Very disappointed in their lack of professionalism and sense of compassion for the family caregiver. The fact that they were a no-show for the initial meeting should have been a clue as they forgot to put it on their calendar. This is the first caregiver my friend has had. He has been taking care of his 93 year old father by himself for years and is experiencing caregiver burnout. As a result, he has not been able to keep up with regular house cleaning. We were told at the initial interview that the PCA would not be a housekeeper but could do light housekeeping for any needs regarding his father. He understood this and when the PCA showed up he requested that she vacuum in his father's room only and just keep him company and provide him whatever he needs. However, his father, under the impression from the agency rep. who told him "the aide is there to do whatever he needs," misinterpreted it to think it was his job to direct the PCA to whatever needed to be done and started directing her to do housecleaning. She proceeded to do all the housecleaning that she was not supposed to do, never telling him that it was not part of her job. She also said nothing to my friend but instead, went back and complained to the agency that she was being made to clean and also was critical and judgmental about the state of the house. I feel that, especially since this was the first time a caregiver had ever been hired by my friend client, she should have sat down with the father and explained what she could and couldn't do and if she wasn't comfortable doing so, ask someone from the agency to come with her for the first appointment and explain to all involved, thereby setting the expectations upfront. I feel this simple act would have avoided the misunderstanding that occurred and things would have probably gotten off to a smoother start. But now my friend is feeling humiliated and more worn out on top of the burnout fatigue he is already experiencing. This is just poor management and unprofessional in my opinion. Finally, the caregiver was not vaccinated for Covid and had not intentions to, which I also think is irresponsible of the agency given that the PCAs are working in close proximity with the elderly. I'm not impressed with this agency.

I used Malone Home Care for the first time last month and they were wonderful. I had a procedure done and their nursing aides cared for me while I was still recovering in the hospital. Once I was able to go home, they assisted me at home until I was able to care for myself again without assistance. I don't know what I would have done without them!

Malone Homecare took excellent care of my loved one for 2 and 1/2 years. The caregivers and office staff were very professional and caring. I had used other agencies in the past but after seeing the difference in care with Malone I will never use another.

Malone Home Care (MHC) took care of my Grandfather from December 2013 until he passed in September of 2015. MHC provided us with great staff, in particular, two women that my Grandfather appreciated that also liberated him to be able to stay in his home instead of having to relocate to a nursing/retirement home. These employees were trust-worthy, honest, and displayed a genuine compassion for my Grandfather which made him feel extremely happy. Prior to MHC, we were using a different agency that didn't meet my Grandfather's needs. So when we decided to go with MHC, we were pleased with the services that were provided to my Grandfather. If we did encounter problems, such as scheduling conflicts, they were handled promptly with ease. I would recommend using MHC's services if you have a family member that needs great, trustworthy, in-home care.

For over 2 years my mother received around the clock care at her home in St. Matthews. She was never extremely ill, she had early onset dementia and was at risk for falling. All five of her children worked full time so we decided it was time to look for some help. Being a nurse myself I was unsure how reliable and attentive someone from outside our family would be. Malone Healthcare handpicked her companions based on what was important to US! Because the companions were such a good fit, we had almost no turnover. We are all so grateful that when we were there to spend time with her, we could really spend quality time. We wouldn't have been able to do that it without our new Malone Healthcare friends. Thank you Malone!
