Experienced nanny and reliever teacher with personal neurodivergence experience.
| My name is Emma, and I am an American here on a working holiday visa, looking for temporary work (as my visa expires in October of 2024). I adore working and spending time with children, especially helping connect them more to their outdoor environment and support their socio-emotional development. I have over 4 years of experience working with kids ranging from ages 6 mo-10 years old. I minored in education and child development at the University of Washington in the US, where I learned about supporting the socio-emotional development of children 0-8yrs old. My most recent experiences were working as a Substitute Teacher at an outdoor preschool and working as a nanny (during the child's ages 18mo-2.5yrs) in Seattle, WA. As a nanny for this child I also occasionally cared for his younger sister, from ages 6 months to one years old. I also have a decent amount of experience caring for pets, so if that is something you are looking for I would be happy to chat about that, too. I love music, painting, going for walks, and mindfulness, all of which I find so fulfilling and fun to do with children. If you are looking for care for your kiddo(s) please don’t hesitate to connect with with more about your needs or questions.
We're so lucky to have found Emma! She immediately bonded with my daughter and has been a dream to work with"

Hi there I’m Ann
| Most of my experience has been as an RN (Carer) managing a unit. I have learned so much during that time especially from the sn person.
We found Ann to be a great nanny who was very easy to communicate and came with loads of experience. Ann would be an asset to any household. Highly recommended :)"

I am hoping to base myself around Auckland in a job role I am extremely passionate about
| Over the last 8 years I have gained experience of working within a day centre for adults with physical/learning difficulties. Some of my duties include; personal care, assisting with meal time, PEG feeding, administrating medication, oropharyngeal suctioning, lone working in the community alongside assisting with different sports and activities inside the day centre. E.g. Wheelchair football, boccia, ceramics, living skills, going on the trampoline and swimming. Alongside this I have also worked in respite care where I take the individual I am supporting away on holiday which includes around the clock care. The summer of ####/#### I worked on a special needs summer camp for both adults and children with disabilities, it was an amazing experience and gave me a insight into the care industry from different countries. I am a caring person and feel that I have the right attributes and personality to make a difference in this job role. I am able to listen to and communicate effectively with individuals. Caring is something I have always enjoyed doing, although I do respect that they may want to keep their independence and sometimes it is more appropriate to assist them with the task
I have known Leanne for over 3 years since we met whilst participating in Camp America which was based in Missouri, in the summer of 2014. This camp catered for adults with disabilities, who would typically attend for around six days at a time. Within Leanne’s role, she was responsible for their enjoyment in a range of activities, however the scope of the role was far greater and perhaps in a more humbling sense, she would oversee menial aspects of their day such as washing and eating. Leanne had a great relationship with clients at the camp and is liked, respected and trusted by her peers. Leanne’s enthusiasm and commitment to any jobs she takes on is second to none, and is always willing to help out last minute as well as stepping up if needed. Not one to complain, she is happy working alongside a variety of staff and fit’s in where ever asked to work. In terms of the personal attributes that Leanne possess, I believe that she is a hard and honest worker who can work well both as a team player and independently, when required. Leanne is reliable and able to get along with a wide variety of people due to been able to communicate with both patients and colleagues in a professional manner. Although, Leanne can accurately follow instructions from other members of staff, she is proactive in her pursuit to be as efficient as possible in whatever environment she is working in. It should be increasingly clear that Leanne is a very passionate individual, who remains positive in every situation, looking to primarily cater wholeheartedly to the development of individuals. There is no other member of staff at Sunnyhill Camp that I would more highly recommend for a job and I hope that through sharing these views on Leanne you can see that she is determined to be moulded into the most effective member of staff at your company."
