This is to support boys who have autism to learn independent living skills. We are committed to providing a quality life for our sons so we are looking for people who will fit in with our family values. This position is not nurse aide work. It involves a lot of play to engage developmentally young children. You have to be a person who enjoys being with children. No special needs experience or training is needed - its provided. We will only consider people with a full clean driver license and experience caring for kids under 5 years age.
The full-time role is live-in. We will consider live-out applicants but you need reliable transport and good time management to get to/from our home. No couples if wanting to live-in. The full-time role is 35 hrs p/wk providing before and after school care from Monday to Friday 7-9 am & 2:30-7:30 pm and occasional night-time babysitting. Part-time and holiday positions can be discussed on a case by case basis for people who already live in Auckland.
Our kids have always had carers. We are looking for a child focused person who knows how to communicate and be playful. Foreign applicants must be able to get a 1 year visa to legally work 35 hours per week in NZ.
Working for us involves police vetting, driving our vehicle and having a proper legal employment contract in place. We pay fees for our full-time carers to be registered with an an Au pair agency we engage so that you have professional support while you are employed with our family. It would be helpful if you also have a 1st aid certificate already. We can arrange 1st aid training if needed. You are welcome to also interview our existing Au pair to find out more about what it has been like working for us.

Looking for a full time afternoon nanny for my lovely 9 year old boy

Responsibilities will include: picking D. up from school at 3pm, taking him home or out for activities, taking him swimming once a week, picking up his 4.5 year old brother D. from creche around 5pm, starting dinner and mild tidying.
The majority of the job will be looking after D. who is a lovely and sometimes difficult boy and is on the autism spectrum. He is very independent and has learned to take space for himself to self-sooth when overwhelmed. A lover of all things nature and our resident dinosaur expert, you're sure to learn a thing or two!
His little brother D. is a very enthusiastic chap and the brothers have a lot of fun together. He can be at creche until 6pm when absolutely necessary but looking to have him out of there around 5 when possible to keep him happy!
I will be home around 6pm every night and opportunities for babysitting into the evening will pop up from time to time depending on availability.
Candidates will require a full driver's license and access to a car.

Hours may be negotiable for the right ######.### daughter requires someone who is a lot of fun, and who is willing to read many books throughout an afternoon! Other loves include food, windy days and the rain. We will have meals ready to go, and she can feed herself. Toileting/ dressing will sometimes be required so we are looking for female candidates only. There are no medical requirements. Some experience is essential.

Job requirements are be home for my son when he gets off his van, he needs a lot of encouragement to get of and come inside some days. Hes pretty easy going and will watch videos and or power rangers. His behaviour can sometimes escalate but this is only usually with me.

Looking for home care/ support

Looking for someone to look after 2children. Main focus is mr almost 11, he has Autism and needs constant supervision. He is fun and active, has some communication and the more you know him the easier to understand he is. He spends time on iPad and is quite independent. Also miss 9, ASD but high functioning and very verbal.
Need someone who can collect from school and bring to our house and watch till we get home. We are rarely home later than 6 pm. Days and times vary with more hours during school holidays.
