Special Needs Care in Paignton

| My name is Danielle and I am 33 years old. I am a level 4 qualified and experienced Early Years Educator. I have worked in childcare for 17 years. 11 years in nurseries and 6 years as a nanny. After 2 wonderful years i have just finished working with a little boy who has cerebral palsy. I have gained so much knowledge and experience working with him. I took him to OT meetings, Speech and language meetings, TAC meetings and many more. Every morning i had to massage his joints and follow a strict routine from physiotherapist. I also fed him meals and did some personal care. I ensured that all activities were adaptable for him to enjoy. We went on some great adventurers as he loved being outdoors. This came to end as he has gone to school. I have previously worked for a lovely family of 3. 2 year old twins and a 5 year old. My duties included some housekeeping duties such as a weekly shop, cleaning, changing beds, making healthy nutritious meals and some personal assistant jobs. I also prepared breakfast for the 3 children, took the eldest to school and then went to groups in the morning. After lunch we did some art and craft activities, baking, go for a walk, have fun at the park, play with puzzles and toys.

Worked for 2 years as a support worker with mental health problems young people. Worked as a key worker in special school for challenging behaviour and autistic children for 7 years. Currently I work in mainstream primary school as a HLTA 1:1with challenging behaviour child.
